Guest guest
Hi All, We are going to have our 21 month old daughter scoped on Tuesday and I am wondering if there are any alternatives to using the suggested Miralax for her prep? After all I have read in the archives about Miralax, I can't bring myself to give it to her even for one day, but I also want to make sure she is properly cleaned-out for the procedures. Would giving her large doses of Natural Calm achieve the same thing? We are also supposed to use Dulcolax suppositories and Fleet enemas...any suggestions on more natural substitutes for those? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!! Misty
Guest guest
we used magnesium citrate to treat our son;s encopresis, along with suppositories and enemas. his ped said to start the mag citrate at 1/3 to 1/2 of the adult dosage. we had refused to use miralax or milk of mag so this was his alternative. > From: mistykraw <mistykraw@...> > Subject: Substitute for Miralax? > > Date: Sunday, May 4, 2008, 1:22 AM > Hi All, > > We are going to have our 21 month old daughter scoped on > Tuesday and I > am wondering if there are any alternatives to using the > suggested > Miralax for her prep? Guest guest
Here's an option to explore: www.fibermenace.com. The site sells a product called Hydro C which might work and be more natural than Miralax > > Hi All, > > We are going to have our 21 month old daughter scoped on Tuesday and I > am wondering if there are any alternatives to using the suggested > Miralax for her prep? Miralax can cause problems, I would not use that http://www.danasview.net/miralax.htm Try lots of magnesium, that worked well here. > Would giving her large doses of Natural Calm achieve the same thing? Probably. Dana

Guest guest
We use oxypowder for my 2 year old occasionally and love it. Very gentle but effective Re: Substitute for Miralax?
