Amalgalm removal: how should I prepare?

I am having my one remaining small amalgalm removed in 2 weeks by a

mercury-free dentist using safe techniques: a dam, oxygen, vaccuum.

What should I do to prepare?

I should mention that I had one large amalgalm drilled out without

safe techniques 4 years ago and didn't notice any ill effects myself,

although my 7-month old nursing son went further into autism shortly

thereafter.
