He has also fallen asleep for an hour which is very uncommon for him. >>>Can;t say I have heard of this with the high dose vitamin A - usuat times they seem to get a bit hyper shortly after dosing, maybe flushed too and then they either get better or nothing happens. Sam fitted this profile, nothing happened but them he hasn;t had the MMR. However, I have seen many describe the flu like symptoms with viral die off. Maybe if he's been well supplemented in the past, this high dose has knocked that measle virus for six??? How is he doing now? Mandi
Guest guest
Has anyone used high dose vitamin A for viruses? Can you please tell me you experience? Is it just for certain kids? My son got the MMR vaccine. do you give the high dose in the morning, with or without food? Can that be done on a child's chelation off days? Since vit A comes in soft gels, my son cannot swallow pills yet. Any one has anysuggestions as to how I can administer that to him? Thanks Micci_Rog <micci_rog@...> wrote: I went back and forth between oral, rectal and IV. We were working with two different DAN's. One wanted to do IV, and the other wanted to do suppositories. So I asked a third, Dr. McCandless, I am on a group with her, and she said with older children it is better to go with IV because it is more efficient and that with older children we need to be more aggressive. She is also chelating her 14 year old granddaughter with IV. I considered oral, it is definately cheaper and more well known, but all I heard from parents was that it made yeast horrible and unmanageable. I did though attend a lecture by Jim , I believe, yesterday at AutismOne. He just completed a DMSA chelation study and found that one round of DMSA can normalize glutathione levels for up to two months. But benefits of 7 rounds compared to 1 round were only slightly higher. So it is something to consider in the future, but we are going to do IV's for awhile and see how it goes. > > > Why IV instead of the safer oral chelation? > S S --------------------------------- Food fight? Guest guest
400,000 IUs yesterday and today. Maintenance dose for 6 months of 10,000 IUs/day I have done this now 3 times in the last 12 months. May 2006, November 2006, and May 2007. We use Klaire labs vitamin A which is a liquid. 400,000 IUs is 2 ml, or 2 droppers full. We mix the liquid vitamin A with apple sauce. Administration is very easy. No side effects noted the first two times. None so far this time. No WOWs noted following the bolus first two times. I keep doing it because we notice increased awareness and eye contact. Whether it's the A of some of the many other things we do, I don't know. FYI. --- roseline sampson <rrkeni@...> wrote: > Has anyone used high dose vitamin A for viruses? Can > you please tell me you experience? Is it just for > certain kids? Guest guest
We used it. It initially helped my son and I tolerate more foods, but I found out a couple months later that the fat soluble vitamins all work together. Supplementing Vitamin D3 (the active form) was an additional help, and now adding K2 has been a help as well. The vitamins are better absorbed when taken with fat. Moreover, our family as a whole has experienced better healing by incorporating more saturated fats into our diet. Here's an article on Vitamin D: http://www.westonaprice.org/basicnutrition/vitamin-d-safety.html Hope that helps, Amy > > > > > > > > > Why IV instead of the safer oral chelation? > > > S S > > > > > > > > > > > > > > --------------------------------- > > Food fight? I have Dr. McCandless' recommendations, plus my son's story, plus the story of another child, on this page http://www.danasview.net/vitamina.htm >>Is it just for certain kids? What matters is that you give a sufficient dose. More info on the page above. >> Can that be done on a child's chelation off days?
