Guest guest
Hello, My (so far) NT 1 yr old son is starting to ween himself from being breastfed and over the last week I started giving him organic cows milk. Since then, his stools have been almost liquidy-completely not formed (sorry to be gross). I am wondering if someone can be intollerant to just cows milk and not other dairy products like yogurt and cheese. My 3 yr old ASD son is 80% gf and 100% cf and not intollerant to anything else (even with enzymes, he can't tollerate dairy) and wasn't sure if I should do the same with my one yr old. Like I said, I took it slow and started with yogurt-that was fine. Then cheese- no problem so far. I don't want to do anything that would hamper his developement and maybe I should just put him on the same diet as his brother to be safe. If anyone is willing to share what they do when it comes to siblings of ASD kids I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much!
Guest guest
Cows milk is very hard to digest whether you are NT or have an ASD. I would suggest holding off on it. You could try goats milk instead, and maybe stay with the yogurt. Cows milk is over-rated and potentially harmful. I would stay away from it especially if there is a ASD sibling. --Beth
Guest guest
I used to think this was true also, but this is only true of the stuff you purchase in the stores, real milk that has not been pasturized or homogonized is easier to digest and does not cause the problems that store bought milk causes. for more info go www.realmilk.com Blessings Conrad > > Cows milk is very hard to digest whether you are NT or have an ASD. Guest guest
, I agree with you. I've been following the Weston A. Price foundation guidelines. However, my children do better with goat dairy than cow, so I give them goat dairy products only. It is a blessing to be able to give them real cheese and yogurt again.
