Guest guest
Have you had him tested for lymes? Even if he doesn't have lymes, treat him? Wi Public Radio had someone on about Lymes that I only heard for 10 minutes or so on my to work. For anyone interested, they have achieves and it was so interesting. Tammy Total Regression Hi, I was wondering if anyone out there has a child that totally regressed. My son lost every single skill that he had learned- to the point where he couldn't hold his head up or roll over- much less sit, crawl, or walk. He regressed when he was a year old. He is now 3 and is just now able to sort of sit up by himself. We have tried several different therapies but without much luck. He was never vaccinated either. We do know that he has a metabolic disorder and he also has seizures. So, if anyone with a similar situation is out there can you please tell me what kinds of therapies or diets you have done that have helped. Feel free to email me personally if you feel more comfortable. Thanks so much for everyone's help! Mother of Brayden
Guest guest
my son responded well to enzyme supplements and more recently to methyl B-12 shots which did wonders for his language. Guest guest
hello so my reply in summary is: I would contact the child's pedeiatrican and ask for a simple " Liquid Multi Vitamin Mineral supplement; given by drops in water; if the Dr. says why?; say a woman on the web recommended this just to be sure the child was getting all his nutrients; if the Doc. says no then go to a pharmacy and buy a " otc multi vit. min. liquid supplemtns and begin to give this to your child everyday;follow label. anna 57 " studying nutrition since 1971 usa > > > > Have you had him tested for lymes? My son was not a regressive child [he has a Kanner dx, autistic from birth, from his HepB vax at birth]. He was almost recovered tho, at about age 9 or 10, when I watched him lose everything over the space of four hours. Not a fun experience. It was caused by a virus that migrated directly into his brain. I eliminated viruses here with high dose vitamin A protocol, OLE, Virastop enzyme, vitamin C, and lysine. Guest guest
My son supposedly has MCAD. However he really doesn't fit the symptoms for it. He is on a ton of supplements including a vitamin and mineral supplement. We have had him checked for Lyme but never treated him for it anyway. I will try to listen to the archived show on it. Thanks so much for your replies! > From: Anne <anne_white53@...> > Subject: Re: Total Regression > > Date: Friday, July 11, 2008, 5:58 AM > hello so my reply in summary is: > > I would contact the child's pedeiatrican and ask for a > simple > > " Liquid Multi Vitamin Mineral supplement; given by > drops in water; > > if the Dr. says why?; say a woman on the web recommended > this just to > be sure the child was getting all his nutrients; if the > Doc. says no > > then go to a pharmacy and buy a " otc multi vit. min. > liquid > supplemtns and begin to give this to your child > everyday;follow label. > anna 57 " studying nutrition since 1971 usa > > > > > > Have you had him tested for lymes? Guest guest
I second the opinion to look into lyme and other infections (viral or bacterial). http://www.lymeinducedautism.com It's not all about lyme, but multiple other infections as well. The research is cutting edge and they recently had a conference. I didn't go (only joined their group a few weeks ago), but I just ordered the lecture recordings on DVD. It would be worth looking into if you have hit a dead end with other doctors. There is a list of docs on the website who know how to look for multiple infections and understand how they relate to autism. My son has never had a tick bite, but I he is positive for the lyme antibodies in his blood. There is something weird going on with our kids and the LIA foundation is working on the answers. It sounds like you REALLY need help. Send them a note in the Contact Us section and I'm sure they will help you get your son into see the right doctor ASAP. If he's negative for all viral and bacterial infections, then at least that's one less thing to worry about and you can move on. > > Hi, > > I was wondering if anyone out there has a child that totally regressed.
