Guest guest
Did he take zinc? Zinc if taken without food makes many people nauseous. My son threw up once from that. I have many times but since learned not to take my zinc without food, it makes me want to hurl and I feel really weird for a few minutes after eating it. Your plan sounds good if it's not the zinc. I thought I'd stop everything except his daily, add one new and test for about three days. I'm thinking this may work. He's almost 10, high functioning. > > BTW - he's been getting the giggles and tells me he can not stop himself. Been terrible when trying to have a serious discussion and you want to wipe that smirk off his face and every little thing is funny, even when it isn't. It is yeast, can tell off a chelation round. Interesting. > > Tammy > > >
Guest guest
Jan Wow, thanks for that comment. I think you hit the nail right on the head. He's 120 lbs and I give him 100 mg of zinc once a day. I'm sure there is a little more in his daily. Maybe I'll keep going with what I'm doing and pull that and see if his tummy has changed. No chewies at all, NONE! When I start back up, cut in half, do 50 mg you think and see what happens? Thanks Tammy [ ] Re: upset tummy Did he take zinc? Guest guest
I think that's a good plan. Three days is usually enough to tell. It's good that he can tell you. Guest guest
Andy says the dose for him would be 140mg. 1mg per pound of body weight and then round up. So, you can get it in 50mg strength, I would say 150mg per day, spread out, and taken with meals. It would work out well to take a 50mg pill with breakfast, lunch, and dinner if this was possible. You could subtract the amount in his multi and just do it with two meals. Guest guest
Thanks TJ. Yeap, have it in the 50 mg strength. Just been giving two in the morning, 100 mg at breakfast. Was the only thing I've increased but I also just started CoQ10 too, 50 mg. I'm going to stop for a few days and see if tummy better. Maybe it is the zinc that is bother is tummy and spreading it out will do the trick. Hopefully mystery solved!!! Tammy Multi has 5 mg in it so not up to snuff yet! If the zinc does not fix the problem, this is a good plan. > BTW - he's been getting the giggles and tells me he can not stop himself. Guest guest
We are having a pukefest at our house right now. It's a virus going around, takes about 24 hours to go through the system. Could be that as well. TJ ________________________________ From: Tammy Kuhn <tkuhn1@...> Sent: Wednesday, September 30, 2009 2:55:49 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Re: upset tummy Thanks TJ.
