Guest guest
Dani - I live in Wisconsin too and would like to know where they are located? I'm just plugging away on my own. Tammy Pathways in Wisconsin Has anyone worked with Pathways for their child's care? They seem to be the ONLY ONES who really understand that my 2 yr old can not tolerate supplements of any kind, especially the B vitamins at this time. They we're not suprised by what I know to be true for my son and said when they work with children like this they believe that it is a problem with the liver being weak or unable to detox( I've always thought this myself.) They use special homeopathic liver supports to help the liver begin to function properly, then use other natural detox methods. I'm really stuck and frustrated as I feel my son is on the most sensitive side of the spectrum and I just don't know how to proceed with his healing. I'm afraid chelation will be more of a stress on his liver if he can't even tolerate the most ultra sensitive supplements. I'm also feeling really guilty because when he first started to " get sick " at 15 months, we took him to a well known, fancy natrupath and she loaded him with supplements. At first he did great , then he crashed and his allergies increased by 100% and he absolutely no longer tolerated supplements not even probiotics of any knid. I feel this might have damaged his liver. I'm still mad at the natrupath to this day. Her ego was too big and she didn't listen to our concerns about all the supplements. We only stayed with her for 2 months but the set back has lasted nearly a year. Or maybe this would have happened anyway. Thanks, Dani
Guest guest
I have been to Pathways-it was my first stop....and thank God I didn't give up on homeopathy. The only good thing I took from them was Fire Tree Bark as an antifungal. That stuff rocks. DR. HARRY HONG at www.harryhong.com is going to understand your child's intolerances and allergies more than Hicks could ever dream of. This guy is recovering my son with Bioset. I cannot praise him enough...Pathways and Dr. Hicks was a waste of a lot of money for us. But that is just my experience. Guest guest
Kersten- Is Fire Tree Bark (Antifungal) good for fighting yeast or what is it's main purpose. I went into the Vitamin Shoppe and spoke with the manager about Grapefruit Seed extract or Olive Leaf Extract to fight yeast overgrowth and he hadn't heard of it doing that... we looked it up on his computer/website and there was nothing about it there. So far I have no complaints (except it is expensive, but I guess many DAN doctors are). He has prescribed a TON of supplements - many of them homeopathic which you can only purchase through him. Clare IS improving, but it's hard to know if its the casein-free/soy-free diet or the supplements or probably a combination of both.
