Guest guest
Yeast? Increasing vitamin C causes increased yeast issues here. We always have to up our yeast maintenance protocol when we dose high C. My daughter is diagosed w/tourette's and ocd (I say Pandas) and yeast really kicks those symptoms into overdrive. I don't know what you've been diagnosed with, but it sure does look like a list of symptoms from someone who's heavy metal toxic. You might want to consider reading Andy Cutler's book Amalgam Illness, which covers this subject very well, complete with advice for improving day-to-day function and (ultimately) getting the metal out and recovering. Well worth reading, regardless of your medical history. hth - Darla [sPAM] Help with OCD ( LONG) I have been taking vitamin c and msm to help with allergies and I have noticed an increase in sound sensitivity, brain fog and severe OCD. If my schedule goes even slightly in one direction or the other, I feel like I am going to have a nervous breakdown. I react this way when I have too many B vitamins as well. I feel as if I am losing my mind. I almost feel as if I am losing touch with reality and I need to be slapped out of it. I stopped taking my lysine and started to take the vitamin c instead. I had been doing well until I had another flare with Epstein-Barr virus. My titers were through the roof. Could the lysine have been keeping the virus at bay and then when I switched to the vitamin c it wasn't enough to quiet the EBV. Or is the vitamin c even stronger than the lysine and I am just struggling with massive yeast and viral die off? Here are my many symptoms (I am listing everything, even if it may be irrelevent) and I would be so grateful if someone would diagnose this for me: 1. Easily frustrated and Impatient 2. Crying easily 3. No Stamina (want to give up) 4. Not thinking clearly 5. Not focused, but yet hyper-focused (I don't know how else to explain that one) 6. Not flexible at all and I can't deal with simple things 7. I feel like everything is " the end of the world " 8. My brain can't handle any more input or any changes 9. Tired, but I feel keyed up 10. Headaches 11. Low blood sugar symptoms 12. Frequent urination 13. Things have to be Just Right. Not too cold, not too hot; not too loud, not too quiet, etc. 14. WORRIED about everything 15. Eyes feel dry and burning 16. Very anxious 17. Stomach feels bloated and fat 18. Constipated 19. Legs feel twitchy and restless 20. NOT Happy, relaxed or calm 21. I don't want to be in my skin anymore. 22. Dehydrated feeling(skin doesn't look healthy) 23. Veins are bulging and I feel as if my blood pressure is high. I feel an inner pressure all over my body. Like a full feeling everywhere. I know this is a ton of stuff to throw out there and I also know that some of it is just how I am. But it has been magnified since taking the vitamin c and msm. What kills EBV? I want to get rid of it for good. I feel as if this is aging me. My skin looks thin, old, wrinkled and dry. I feel exhausted and worn out. I have a friend who takes massive doses of vitamin c and she swears it keeps her skin so young and healthy. What gives? Do I need more water to flush this stuff out? I also thought msm was supposed to help the skin as well as a host of other things. Thank you for listening and I apologize for the length, a
Guest guest
> I don't know what you've been diagnosed with, but it sure does look like a list of symptoms from someone who's heavy metal toxic. **What should I use to chelate the metals? I tried 100 mg. of ALA per day and my iron levels were very low and I started to lose hair. I thought maybe the ALA chelated the iron too. Doesn't MSM help with metals? I want to chelate the metals, but I'd like to hold on to my iron and other metals that I need. I have always thought that I had issues with metals and I also get weirded out with minerals as well. > You might want to consider reading Andy Cutler's book Amalgam Illness, which covers this subject very well, complete with advice for improving day-to-day function and (ultimately) getting the metal out and recovering. ** I will definitely look for that book. Guest guest
--- In @y Hi a, I too suffer from OCD. Gets much worse when I seem to have yeast issues. Take a look at some of the supplements listed on websites for OCD. Some of them might help. Also look at the things they say don't help like b12 and folic acid. Also, have you had your thyroid checked? Alot of the symptoms you listed sound like some of the problems I have when my thyroid is messed up. I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis which is diagnosed by the fact that my thyroid antibodies are very high. I have also been iodine deficient in the past. My TPO is very high too which means i can't convert t3 to t4 (I think that's right or maybe the other way around) anyway it causes me to have to much thyroid hormone and then I go hyperthyroid- then the anxiety attacks start, the Central nervous system problems start, I get so keyed up I want to tear off my own skin, I have a tingling through my whole body, I think it messes with my adrenals, it causes blood sugar swings, my throat feels thick, I cry, I am currently being treated as an outpatient for depression & anxiety and OCD- they are working with me on trying to figure out my thyroid problems (we are waiting on the blood test results) because if my thyroid is still messed up then any medicine except for anxiety meds may not really do the job for the OCD. I know exactly how you feel I believe. I am starting to recover and feel really good. I am taking for supplements: selenium, magnesium glycinate (doesn't seem to cause the diarrhea that mag citrate does), enada, zinc, probiotics (when I seem to be able to tolerate them) chromium GTF, houston AFP, another enzyme called paraplex by integrative therapeutics, Lypo gold (by enzymedica) for fat digestion (I just had my gallbladder out so still need lots of help with fats) I have celiac so I am GF/CF/SF- soy free because of thyroid issues. I get alot of headaches because I have sinus problems all the time- lately Houston AFP seems to help with the headaches for some reason. I am working alot on cognitive behavioral therapy for the OCD. I also go to meditation class once a week which definitely calms me down. Learning proper breathing for relaxation has been key lately. I guess as far as supplements go selenium has been the best help so far- I know that because that was the first one I added and I could feel the effects of when I didn't take it. I think that it is supposed to help with T3-T4 conversion and also helps to remove or bind to mercury in some way. Someone correct me if I am wrong on any of the stuff I have mentioned- I want to be corrected. I just read an article on Autism that talked alot about selenium. Well, anyway, sorry so long. It's just that your symptoms are exactly like where I was a few weeks ago and I feel for you. Wanda

I thought sulphur could cause yeast to go up. B vitamins cause a lot of havoc around here too when it comes to yeast. I forgot to mention I also take biotin. I think it helps with yeast and sugar issues too. Biotin also helps with hair and skin too I believe. You probably should increase your water intake if you are trying to detox and also vitamin C can also cause some issues with the kidneys due to oxalates I think. Usually a lot of urinating seems to happen with yeast issues. I know I have metals issues too because I showed high for a couple things on a test I had done. I thought too that when you are doing a lot with anti virals you can cause yeast issues? Just like when you kill a lot of yeast and don't supply good bacteria then you can get a bacteria over growth. I took some GSE last night and I felt better within 2 hours. Could it work that fast? I will add some probiotic in as long as I am taking the GSE. I just need help in arranging the supplements I am going to take. I am in a severe brain fog right now and it's hard to keep my thoughts straight. I can tolerate GSE for yeast as well as Candidase. My tinnitis gets really bad, but that's better than feeling insane. I am so afraid to try biotin because it's a B vitamin and I really feel " at the end of my rope " when I take the B's. Is it safe to take a B vitamin by itself and not with the others? I can tolerate l-lysine, but OLE made things worse think. I wasn't sure how long I could take l-lysine, so I stopped it. Is it safe to take evryday for a long time? I take colostrum and yesterday i doubled it and had panic attacks all day. The vitamin c was working fine and then I added the msm and I guess I increased the yeast. It all makes sense now because I am constipated and I feel fat and bloated. Yeast tends to do that right? I have virastop, candidase, vitamin c, msm, l-lysine, OLE, GSE,probiotics,coQ10,fishoil,iron,magnesium. In what order do I take all of this? Should I add anything else? i also don't know how long to take all of the Anti-yeast, anti-viral, and probitics. When do I know it's been enough. What signs do I watch for? I forgot to mention that I have been getting a red itchy rash whenever my husband touches me or kisses me. i also get hives from bandaids and hospital tape. I had a CT scan with iodine contrast and broke out in hives all over. My skin has never been this sensitive before. I heard that the msm will help with this problem. Is there anything else that helps with allergic reactions, especially in the skin? I have tried to take a flax oil combination and I felt really weird after that;like I was out of control. My skin looks dehydrated. I am extremely sensitive to so many things and I am afraid to try things because I can't afford another bad day. Bad days for people like this are more than just your average bad day. I hate feeling this way, but I don't want to get any worse. I know I am laying alot on the table, but this is the only website and group that actually has information that I can relate to. I have struggled my entire life with sensory issues and feeling out of control. The world seems so loud and frightening and i need to get away but it doesn't even matter because I can't run away from myself. I was doing really well last year on this protocol: Colostrum L-lysine Green tea Oil of Oregano Saw palmetto(for my hair) Shen Min(for my hair) Burdock Iron(low ferritin issues) Glutamine Silica(for my hair) Udo's oil(even though it made me very edgy) Pycnogenol(this made me edgy as well, but my skin looked better) Then I had the iodine contrast and everything went crazy. i was reacting to anything I took after that. My veins feel like they are inflamed and burning in my legs and in my arms. I just want to flush them out with water. They are permanately dilated in my arms and hands, kind of like a body builder but I don't work out. What causes that constant pressure? I stopped a lot of my supplements and decided to regroup and organize a different attack. That's where I am now, and my organizational skills are lacking. Please help me get it together. I really appreciate every post on this website. There is a wealth of information and I can get overwhelmed at times. This is one of those times. All four of my kids, and also me personally, are fully chelated with ALA. I only recently was able to take 100mg, I started with half of a 25mg capsule. And yes, it does tend to demineralize. I take a multi mineral supplement, as well as individual supps of certain minerals to get more than is contained in the multi. Losing hair, at my house, meant biotin deficiency. I am so afraid to > try biotin because it's a B vitamin and I really feel " at the end of > my rope " when I take the B's. Is it safe to take a B vitamin by > itself and not with the others? Biotin is a different sort of B vitamin. It controls yeast, rather than the other Bs which tend to increase yeast. So you might want to start with a low dose, like 400mcg. It does require magnesium for proper absorption, so try 400mcg with 200mg of magnesium, see if that helps. > I can tolerate l-lysine, but OLE made things worse think. In what order do I take > all of this? Should I add anything else? The Virastop, vitamin C, lysine, and OLE are all anti-virals and will tend to increase yeast. They were a part of my son's recovery from autism tho, so a good thing to use. Candidase, probiotics, biotin, and GSE help control yeast. We never used MSM, so I can't comment on that. CoQ10 was part of mito cocktail, which was required at my house for my kids to properly absorb fats. I wrote about that here http://www.danasview.net/mar05.htm My kids were iron toxic, so I have never supplemented with that. i also don't know how long > to take all of the Anti-yeast, anti-viral, and probitics. When do I > know it's been enough. What signs do I watch for? My kids needed OLE and Virastop for 2 years, then high doses of vitamin C for over a year, then lysine for 8 months. You can give them on the same days so avoid having to go on so long, like I did. At my house, vitamin C required carnitine for proper absorption. I knew it was time to remove these items when they started causing problems that were not addressed by yeast control. >>I heard that the msm will help with this problem. Is there > anything else that helps with allergic reactions, especially in the > skin? Selenium was helpful for certain food issues here. OLE helped with environmental allergies. And ALA chelation was very good for almost all of this. >>My skin looks dehydrated. Folic acid helped with dry skin here. Dana
Guest guest
I apologize for more questions, but here goes: What supplements do I take on an empty stomach? Where do I find Biotin in such a low dose? Why do my veins and skin feel like they are full of pressure and is there anything to help relieve the pressure? My veins look scary and I feel as if I am inflamed vascularly. my head feels full as well. My gums are receeding and I was wondering if it is because of anything I am taking? My dentist has no suggestions. My teeth feel thinner if that makes sense. Like I am losing bone and enamel. Can hair fall or super thin hair be caused by taking so many anti- virals with no yeast protocol? I am only taking 2 drops of GSE; is that okay? Should I increase? Will the high phenols cause tinnitis to worsen? Isn't folic acid a B vitamin as well?(can you tell I am scared to death of B vitamins?) Do I need a multi to cover anything I may be lacking? What multivitamin is the best for someone who is as sensitive as I am? This may sound silly but my body feels flabby and lacks muscle tone. Is there anything to do for that? Will l-lysine kill Epstein Barr or is OLE better? I am sure I will have other questions because I am still learning. I will try to get a protocol together and then maybe I will run it by all of you and then I can start implementing it. I thank you all for helping me. I am a 38 year old mother of five children. I am going back to college in the fall and I also work outside the home. I have no one near me who understands any of this. It is hard to talk to anyone about the way this all feels. The sound sensitivity and not wanting to be touched is very hard for people to grasp, especially when you are an adult woman who is married with 5 kids. I really try to pretend to have it all together. my husband is just starting to understand after 20 years of marriage. He is my biggest support, but even he can't fully understand what it feels like when the world is just too loud and overwhelming. i thank you all again for being here for me. a

At my house, calcium required magnesium, vitamin K, vitamin D, and lysine for proper absorption. Maybe you are not properly absorbing calcium? > Can hair fall or super thin hair be caused by taking so many anti- > virals with no yeast protocol? Yes, if the body is using up all its biotin to control yeast, which would deplete the biotin. Biotin deficiency causes hair to fall out, among other problems. > I am only taking 2 drops of GSE; is that okay? Should I increase? You can try that if you want. My son needed much more than 2 drops of GSE during his anti-viral protocol. > Will the high phenols cause tinnitis to worsen? At my house, tinnitis was caused by yeast overgrowth. > Isn't folic acid a B vitamin as well?(can you tell I am scared to > death of B vitamins?) Yes, folic is a B vitamin, and it did tend to cause yeast overgrowth here. However, my kids were seriously deficient in folic, and I had to give them massive doses over several months to correct the deficiency. It did require carnitine for proper absorption. > Do I need a multi to cover anything I may be lacking? Probably. Or individuals. > What multivitamin is the best for someone who is as sensitive as I am? Carnitine and a multi amino. > Will l-lysine kill Epstein Barr or is OLE better? I don't know for sure. OLE eliminated certain viruses, and strep bacteria. However, after 2 years of OLE, there were no more OLE-susceptible viruses or bacteria remaining, but when I removed OLE and added lysine, herpes-related viruses came out. Epstein Barr is a variation of the herpes virus family. >>The sound sensitivity and not > wanting to be touched is very hard for people to grasp, especially > when you are an adult woman who is married with 5 kids. When should I take the biotin? am or pm? Do I take it together with the magnesium at the same time? Can I combine it with the GSE? Do I wait a certain amount of time until after the Lysine and vitamin c to take the yeast supplements? I usually take the l-lysine at night; is that okay? Should I take a probiotic at night and add the l-lysine in the am. Sometimes the probiotics will bloat my stomach and I'd rather sleep that off. Do I take l-lysine on an empty stomach? Guest guest
Does clenching the teeth at night indicate yeast? I also feel as if my body is feverish. My skin is warm and I feel like my core temperature is hot. I do not have chills so it's not like a normal fever, but I feel very warm inside. My skin feels like it has a sunburn, but there is no redness. I was wondering if GSE makes you feel super stimulated? Will the yeast treatment help me to think clearly again? I was standing at my closet and trying to decide what to wear for a really long time yesterday and I ended up getting so frustrated because I honestly couldn't think straight. I hope that indicates yeast, because I am too young for alzheimer's. a

Or doing epsom salts baths? It sounds like these are die off symptoms that you are describing. There are some really good books out there that can help to give you ideas about dealing with die off. The sunburn type feeling, rashes, chills, feverish all sound like die off. The Complete Candida Yeast Guidebook by Jeanne Marie has lots of info on dealing with each symptom. There is info on this site and a few others also like enzymestuff.com. It is possible that you need magnesium it usually helps to calm nerves down especially if you are high in calcium for any reason or not absorbing it. There is a product called Natural Calm. The magnesium will also help to keep you from getting constipated and help get the toxins moving out. Wanda Wanda

The CoQ10 with something containing fat. > *I want to add: > Candidase > Virastop > Biotin (I Just bought 500 mcg.) > Magnesium ( I only have 300 mg.) > An essential fatty acid (Udo's oil really freaks me out) Candidase and Virastop must be taken on an empty stomach. > *Possible additions:(need help on working it all in) > Carnitine > Amino Acid complex (which brand is good when one is sensitive?) > Folic acid (can this be taken alone without a B-complex?) > Quercitin > Bromelain (maybe) I had to give carnitine with fats, B vitamins, vitamin C, and TMG. Those supps required carnitine for proper absorption. I used whey protein powder as a multi amino. Folic required carnitine for proper absorption here. >>Where else can I get calcium? I would start with the one you know. Lysine caused massive yeast overgrowth here, because my son had major issues with herpes viruses. You can take a lower dose of vitamin C if you want, but personally I would wait on other anti-virals until I knew what was required to keep yeast under control. > *I am going to increase the GSE and I will start Biotin and Magnesium. > When should I take the biotin? am or pm? Guest guest
Wow Dana! You should be a Doctor. I am going to print all of this information and look at it when I have a chance today. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my plea for help. I am forever in your debt. I hope you don't mind if I continue to ask questions. I know I am going to need help with this for a while. Thank you so much, a
Guest guest
Dana, Which of these supplements tend to be stimulating, or best taken in the a.m.? Which of the following supplements are best in the p.m.? I have been having a hard time sleeping at night since I added a few new things. GSE Colostrum Vitamin c with bioflavonoids l-lysine msm iron coq10 grape seed extract l-glutamine Candidase Virastop Biotin An essential fatty acid Carnitine Amino Acid complex Folic acid Quercitin Probiotic I also can't figure out which supplements can be taken together. I do know that I need to keep the probiotic seperate from the anti- virals. Is that the same for the GSE and biotin? Can I take the probiotic at night with the Candidase and Virastop? I am still confused on all of the particulars, but I think I am starting to get a grasp on the whole anti-viral = yeast, anti-fungal = bacteria, and anti-bacterial = depletion of good bacteria. I think that's right. I just need to recognize the symptoms that go along with each one. I also need to put together a schedule of when I should take each supplement and figure out which supplements complement or contradict each other. My head is spinning! Thanks again, paula

Here is info about the " average person " , which might be exactly the opposite for some people. > GSE High phenol, so best in am, not past 3-4pm. > Colostrum > Vitamin c with bioflavonoids > l-lysine Vitamin C and lysine can increase yeast, which can cause sleep problems. Best to give them earlier in the day so you can give them with something for yeast overgrowth. > msm > iron Iron caused sleep issues here, but then most of my family was iron toxic. > coq10 > grape seed extract Grapes are high phenol. > l-glutamine > Candidase > Virastop Virastop can cause sleep issues because it does tend to increase yeast. > Biotin > An essential fatty acid EFAs caused sleep issues here until given with mito cocktail and magnesium http://www.danasview.net/mar05.htm > Carnitine > Amino Acid complex > Folic acid Folic and other Bs can cause sleep issues, both for yeast overgrowth issues and for the fact they are B vitamins. > Quercitin > Probiotic Depending on the probiotic, it may or may not cause sleep issues. > I also can't figure out which supplements can be taken together. No, keep the probiotic separate from the anti-bacterials, which from your list above are GSE and Virastop. >>Is that the same for the GSE and biotin? Guest guest
> Dana, > You said: > >Depending on the probiotic, it may or may not cause sleep issues. > What do you mean by that? Some probiotics contain milk, which causes problems for some people. Some probiotics contain strep strains, which also causes problems for some people. Some people [like my son] do not do well with probiotics at all. And for others, the yeast die off caused by certain probiotics kept them awake. > Can I take the probiotic with the Candidase? So long as it is not a " good yeast " probiotic [like SaccB]. Dana
Guest guest
Dana, I am following a protocol of sorts and I am noticing some side effects, Here is my schedule: colostrum and l-lysine (empty stomach AM) Vit c, msm, iron, coq10, biosil, Diosmin, GSE (with breakfast) grapeseed, msm, vitamin e (lunch) vit c, msm, Diosmin Candidase, Glutamine, probiotic, melatonin (bedtime) How I feel: I am noticing a feeling of nausea as well as a lot of pain in my ears. I am not as constipated anymore, but I am not yet having a normal soft bowel movement yet. I feel whiney and irritated. I want to give up and it is so hard to do the simplest of things without me wanting to complain. I came home from work crying and threatening to quit because it's too hard. I have always been a hard worker and never wanted to give up. I am lacking stamina and I feel exhausted. What can I do about my ears? They really hurt. Is that yeast or bacteria? When does the nausea hit? Pain in the ears, at my house, meant yeast overgrowth in the ears. I used biotin and GSE to eliminate that. How much GSE are you taking? > I am not as constipated anymore, but I am not yet having a normal > soft bowel movement yet. The yeast overgrowth may have migrated from your GI tract to your ears. This happened at my house. > What can I do about my ears? They really hurt. Is that yeast or > bacteria? If increasing the GSE does not help, try taking OLE or OoO. OoO makes me really wired and irritated, but that was before I was adding GSE and Candidase for yeast. Do I need extra yeast control if I take OoO? I took a garlic capsule with dinner tonight. I thought it would help with the ears. Does that cause yeast too? My eyes have been burning really badly. Like extreme dry eye. Is that yeast too? I am so sick of yeast!!!!! paula
