PLEASE PLEASE help with response!!!

Can enymes replace the GF/CF diet???

My son is three and we have been doing the diet for almost an year and

I have been reading a book that recommends enymes to replace

restrictive diets. I am hoping that this is possible with him starting

preschool this month.

Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Yes indeed, we came off the diety with Houston Enzymes back in June 2001, after

10 days we had out first normal stool like for forever, it was our first big

biomed wow. He no longer NEEDS enzymes but he has them because I think they are

healthy.

Go slowly, you can get a dosing chart chart from Houston, I would stay with the

diet until the child is established on enzymes and through any adjustment

effects and then challenge one food at a time. Some folks still need to avoid

some foods, Oranges and corn can be problematic for instance. My son can have

what he wants unless its sugar, we still have heavy metal and yeast issues.

Good luck

That would be Enzymes for Autism by de Felice who owns this list but is

very busy busy busy travelling and getting the word out so not posting much at

the moment. The 1st Edition includes an informal study of folks on this list

using Houston Peptizyde and HN Zyme to come off the diet, my son is in those

numbers, not sure about the second edition, not read that one

Diet is no doubt very important. For some it is very necessary. But

in my experience, parents have been able to alter or come off the

GFCF diet using enzymes. But Mandi has very good advice. Do go

slowly. Add the enzymes and come off slowly. Enzymedica has wonderful

technical advisors (Dave & Tammy) that can help you. You can call

them directly for advice or you can feel free to ask me ANY

questions.

It all depends on your child. My son was on the diet for almost a year. Then

after being on enzymes for 6 months we put him back on regular food but with

having enzymes with each meal and snack.
