Guest guest
I'd be upset about that too. That's disgusting. I can't imagine too many parents would want their kid to watch something like that. Sheresa > > Normally I wouldn't do something like this but I'm really disgusted. Guest guest
Normally I wouldn't do something like this but I'm really disgusted. I ordered 2 of the Teach2Talk videos. One of them is pretty good, my son likes it and is learning things from it. The other is the Social Skills: Sharing video. As usual, I previewed it before showing it to my son. I was disgusted by the Social Skills Sharing one. Most of the video consists of kids saying " I don't have one " and another child saying " I'll share with you " and they share whatever the item is. There is a sequence that discusses taking the last of something and sharing it. They show a boy eating a piece of pizza and a girl who is upset that he took the last piece. The boy offers to share and hands her his half eaten piece of pizza!!! The girl then takes the last juice box, takes a sip, then shares with the boy who sips from the same straw. They also show a girl hand a little boy an ice cream cone she has just been licking. Sorry, but I personally don't want to encourage my son to eat other people's half eaten food. In another part they show kids sharing a brush and sharing a hat. Lice is common in elementary schools, so again, not something I want to encourage my son to share. I wrote to the Teach2Talk customer service department on 11/19 explaining how I felt and that I would like a refund as I really think they are teaching kids disgusting things and I have no intentions of letting my kid watch this. I got no reply. I wrote again on 11/26 and again, no reply. I wrote one more time on 12/4 and finally got a response. Their reply was: In accordance with our return and exhange policy, just as with virtually with every merchant selling DVD titles, once the DVD has been opened it can no longer be sold as new to other customers, so we don't allow returns of opened DVDs. I appreciate you providing information on why you would like to return the DVD. We will certainly take your comments under advisement. So basically it's " Sorry. You're out $25 and thanks for the tips on how to improve our productions in the future. " If you are considering buying this DVD and would like to preview it first email me personally. I will make a list of people who want to check it out before spending $25 on it. All I ask is that you watch it, then send it on to the next person on the list within a week. Hopefully I can help some of you save $25 which could much better be spent on GF/CF food, supplements, therapeutic toys/games, or any other therapy to help your child instead of spending it on this video of kids whining that they don't have something then other kids sharing half eaten food, used straws, licked ice cream cones, and used brushes and hats. Guest guest
We bought the Teach 2Talk series and I thought is was horrible. Way too fast of edits. It made me feel autistic just to watch it. The graphics and music go WAY overboard. I have never hated a video so much. I gave it to my son's preschool but i told them the series was no good but someone else may be able to use it. I was very disappointed. I don't think anything with too fast of edits is good for children in the first place and the content was just plain stupid.
