Guest guest
Dana, I have trouble with fat digestion myself, my symptoms are nasal congestion and gas making moises in my stomach, any suggestions..... Thanks a bunch!!!! It's not better and since I've joined these groups, I thinking it's caused by milk intolerance. He is constantly blowing his nose and we have to have tissues w/us everywhere we go or we're in trouble! Haven't had him tested yet but that's in the near future. As for improper fat digestion - what are the symptoms and what to you do - enzymes? TIA, Deb > Milk intolerance is the most common cause. My #1 was like this, yes. > As for improper fat digestion - what are the symptoms and what to you > do - enzymes? My kids required mito cocktail. In fact, my #1's nasal congestion was caused by " fat intolerance " , or basically improper fat digestion. If I miss his mito cocktail, his nose acts up. http://www.danasview.net/mar05.htm Dana
Guest guest
what's in your " mito " cocktail. My son has been chronically congested for almost a year now. > > Dana, > > We've had our son on allergy shots for a year now and I thought > > environmental pollens were causing his constant nasal congestion. > > > At my house, nasal congestion meant food issues, yeast overgrowth, or > viruses. > > > > It's not better and since I've joined these groups, I thinking it's > > caused by milk intolerance. Guest guest
I looked at your blog - I'm going to review very carefully. Looks like a lot of good info. What is GSE? > > Dana, > > We've had our son on allergy shots for a year now and I thought > > environmental pollens were causing his constant nasal congestion. > > > At my house, nasal congestion meant food issues, yeast overgrowth, or > viruses. > > > > It's not better and since I've joined these groups, I thinking it's > > caused by milk intolerance. Guest guest
Im' new to the enzyme thing, so if this is a dumb question please forgive me.... If there is a problem metabolizing fatty acids wouldn't it make sense to take an enzyme that helps digest them? Lipase? Is this the same type of fat? My son definitely has a problem with EFAs and he has been congested since March - when we started supplementing. thanks > > Dana, > > We've had our son on allergy shots for a year now and I thought > > environmental pollens were causing his constant nasal congestion. > > > At my house, nasal congestion meant food issues, yeast overgrowth, or > viruses. > > > > It's not better and since I've joined these groups, I thinking it's > > caused by milk intolerance. Is this the same type of fat? I use Lipase (Lypo from enzymedica) to help my DD process the EFA’s, however one of Dana boys has problem tolerating the EFA’s and she mentioned starting with EPO (evening primrose oil), then moving on to the EFA’s .She also said when doing EPO, you need to supplement with Magnesium as the body uses it to absorb the oil. Otherwise, you will have serious constipation issues. My daughter has a hard time with the EFA’s as well, and I just started her on EPO(one drop on her feet) and Epsom salts baths and made the cream and put on her skin twice daily ( as long as her eczema is not too bad). Leo My son definitely has a problem with EFAs and he has been congested since March - when we started supplementing. thanks > > Dana, > > We've had our son on allergy shots for a year now and I thought > > environmental pollens were causing his constant nasal congestion. > > > At my house, nasal congestion meant food issues, yeast overgrowth, or > viruses. > > > > It's not better and since I've joined these groups, I thinking it's > > caused by milk intolerance. Guest guest
> > Dana, I have trouble with fat digestion myself, my symptoms are nasal congestion and gas making moises in my stomach, any suggestions..... Try a lipase enzyme first, like Enzymedica Lypo. If that does not help, at my house we needed mito cocktail http://www.danasview.net/mar05.htm Dana

If it is a problem with absorption of fats, which is what my family had, we needed mito cocktail to correct the mitochondrial dysfunction. Guest guest
How long does it take to correct the mitochondrial dysfunction? Thanks - Sunny danasview <danasview@...> wrote: > If there is a problem metabolizing fatty acids wouldn't it make > sense to take an enzyme that helps digest them? Lipase? Guest guest
Dana - how often did you give this mito cocktail? Is it given with the EFAs at the same time? > > > Dana, > > > We've had our son on allergy shots for a year now and I thought > > > environmental pollens were causing his constant nasal congestion. > > > > > > At my house, nasal congestion meant food issues, yeast overgrowth, > or > > viruses. > > > > > > > It's not better and since I've joined these groups, I thinking > it's > > > caused by milk intolerance.
