Guest guest
I remember reading something about this on the Houston website, and I believe it said to give the enzymes every 4-5 hours. But I am not 100% about this, so you can look on their website or call them. neatrox <neatrox@...> wrote: I've begun Peptizide and Zyme Prime with my son, diagnosed PDD-NOS. Still too early to notice anything consistent. My question is what to do about dosing him with the enzymes when he is more of a " grazer " than one who eats 3 meals. The directions say to give before each meal but he doesn't eat 3 meals. Can anyone help with this? __________________________________________________

Can anyone help with this? If you dissolve the enzymes into juice and keep the juice cold, they will last up to 4 hours. So he can take a sip before he eats. Guest guest
Dana, I tried dissolving the enzymes in liquid for my grazing son to drink throughout the day, but the enzymes would not dissolve. Particles were floating around in the juice. And when I gave it to my son, he wouldn't drink it. Anything I can do about that? Guest guest
We use a Styrofoam cup with a lid and a straw and ice in it. He never opens the lid so he does not see the “floaties”. Guest guest
--Hi, I am not Dana, what enzymes did you buy? I am asking b/c for instance, if I give my son AFP Pept in the bulk powder form, it has more cellulose than the capsules and therefore does not dissolve well. I can only use broken up caps to dissolve in juice and not water. I prefer the chewables now so I can bypass the juice. > > Dana, > > I tried dissolving the enzymes in liquid for my > grazing son to drink throughout the day, but the > enzymes would not dissolve. Guest guest
, I'm using Peptizide and Zyme Prime. My son will take capsules so that is what I'm giving him morning and evening. But I want to give enzymes throughout the day, especially at school during lunch and in the afternoons when he's a grazing eater (he grazes on the weekends also). I tried dissolving the capsules in the juice but they didn't dissolve. Danise --Hi, I am not Dana, what enzymes did you buy? I have read that some people really shake the container to get it to dissolve. Or, put it into a closed cup, like a sippy cup, so he can't see it. Or, if he swallows capsules, put a small amount of enzyme into a lot of small capsules, and give him one every hour or so. Or limit meal times to just 3-4 times per day. Guest guest
This list is from my website (www.naturalthyroidchoices.com ) I do take all of these at once but you can split them between Breakfast and Dinner. Just take the iodine prior to 2pm in the afternoon since it tends to keep many up at night. Steph Dosage timing Hi, all:I'm trying to figure out what to recommend to my mom when she starts 50 mb of iodine soon after a loading test. Thanks Alison for a link to the list below. Can any one comment on WHEN they take these different nutrients? It would be a lot to swallow each morning.Thyroid NutrientsVitamin A - Individuals with low thyroid function (hypothyroidism) have a reduced ability to convert beta-carotene into vitamin A. Recommended amount: 25,000 IUVitamin B2 (Riboflavin) - Riboflavin is needed for the production of corticosteroids, erythropoesis gluconeogenesis, and thyroid enzyme regulation. Assists with ATP production increasing energy along with organification of Iodine.Recommended amount: 100 mgs 2x / dayVitamin B3 (Inositol Hexanicotinate) - is needed to increase ATP functionality to help with energy and organification of iodine.Recommended amount: 500 mgs 2x / dayVitamin C - Assists in the healthy function of the NIS (sodium iodine symporters) which allows the cells to pull iodine into them. Recommended amount: 2,000 - 5,000 mgsIodine - Critical building block. Iodine is organified to thyroglobulin to create thyroid hormones (T4 - 4 iodine molecules & T3 - 3 Iodine molecules). Recommended amount: 6 - 50 mgsMagnesium - Assists in the regulation of thyroid function. Is a good regulator of muscle relaxation. Activates enzymes in the body.Recommended amount: 400-500 mgs - Note: A new form of transdermal Magnesium is now available called Ancient Minerals. It can be applied to the skin thus avoiding bowel intolerance and gut absorption issues. Magnesium Oil can be purchased HERESelenium - Assists in the production two enzymes: glutathione peroxidase (reacts with H2O2 to reduce H to H2O) and iodothyroinine deiodinase (controls the removal of an iodine molecule to convert from T4 to T3, T3 to T2 and T2 to T1). Recommended amount: 200 - 400 mcgZinc - Assists in the conversion of T4 thyroid hormone to the more active T3 form of thyroid hormone. A simple test with liquid zinc can be done to test for deficiency. If you can taste the zinc then you are not deficient. If you taste nothing then you need to supplement.Recommended amount: 50 mgs (should be combined with 2 mgs Copper as they are antagonists and zinc will lower copper levels)** These recommendations are only general guidelines of nutrients. You should try to find a qualified healthcare practitioner who can custom design a protcol that fits your specific needs. -- April StreeterUpstart PublishingGustavsgatan 11, 41669 GöteborgPrinting e-mails is usually a waste.
