Guest guest
Hello, My son has been constipated for over a few weeks now. It seems that the only way he will go is if I intefere with prune juice. I was hoping to make him regular with GSE and Aloe Juice as previously suggested by many. So we are on the 4th day now on 1 tablespoon aloe juice and 3 drops GSE am and pm, but to no avail. So finally on the 5th day I gave him prune juice , one small glass and he finally went. They were small and round, followed by some more but a little larger and light in color( sorry for being descriptive). That was yesterday. Today, I am still giving him the aloe juice and GSE but he still has not gone. Should I increase the dosages? I am afraid to keep giving him the prune juice because what usually happens afterwards is the opposite , he gets the runs. He is taking many biomedics, could it be that one fo them is causing this? If so, does any specific supp. or vit. cause constipation? Any suggestion is much appreciated. Thanks Helen __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Small and round is constipation! Should be like toothpaste texture. You can add more aloe vera juice. My son is 43 lbs and we use up to 3 ounces up to twice a day to get hard stuff out then lower for maintenance! If it is 's brand it well take much much more. Adding magnesium well help keep the stools going, even vitamin C. Calcium can constipate, iron can also. Rice is a no no! Virus's can cause motility issues. If we give vitamin C(2000grams) that loosens the stools. These are doses with a child that has severe motility/constipation. Start lower dose if your child doesnt have this regularly and if under 5yrs and work up dose. Add lots of water! Jennie<>< > > Hello, > My son has been constipated for over a few weeks now. Guest guest
Thanks! My problem is he is gfcf, and the only lunch he will have at school is homemade chicken soup with rice with many veggies. I tried everything and that is the only lunch he will eat willingly and bring back home an empty thermos. Home is another story. Momma monster doesn't allow him to get away with it I will try to increase aloe juice. I bought the Walmart brand, can't remember the exact name. Also, does it have any significance if the stools don't have any smell whatsoever and they are very light in color? Thanks for your help. Guest guest
That is the brand we use(wallmart)! Honestly not knowing much of the gfcf im not sure how that well affect the stools! Light color is ok as long as it doesnt seem to be appearing yellow or white and continuous(should have brown color to it due to bile from the liver). Also some liquids/food colors well affect the color. Smell(none) could be constipation, but there should be some smell. To foul of smell isnt real good either(means the body is possibly toxic, but is cleaning out). Medications can affect the color also. Any recent changes in food/medications? I would be concerned about the smell/color if it doesnt go back to more normal or last to long. Jennie<>< > > > > Hello, > > My son has been constipated for over a few weeks now. Guest guest
They have no brown color in them at all, they are border line mustardy color actually. They really don't have any smell, you couldn't even tell that he went. Yes, about 2 weeks ago he finished antibiotics for a strep. Since then we have given him Oil of Oregano to fight any yeast issues, 2 weeks, as per his DAN! He is no longer taking this. I am really worried about this. His DAN! is not the easiest person to deal with but I guess I have to call her and see what next? I am out of ideas. I keep asking my son if he is in any pain and he keeps saying no.
