Certain vitamins, especially B vitamins and vitamin C, can do this. So can dehydration. > They found mucuous in his urine but said it was not a specific > finding? Guest guest
> > My son did not tolerate corn, even with enzymes. Does he tolerate > other corn products? > > Dana > He has corn syrup in a lot of things. It seems to be in a lot of things that he still eats. I have not noticed differences with the corn syrup. He also has had corn tortilla chips along with the tortilla's themselves. I noticed a lot of aggression the day after he had the chips, but it turned out he was getting sick with a cold/conjunctivitis. He had the chips after not having any corn except the corn syrup for 5 weeks. I waited another week and then gave him the tortilla's. This time, there did not seem to be any change. Let me know your thoughts. He is starting to get better from the cold/conjunctivitis. His eyes have cleared up and his nose is not runny any longer. Yeah!! The only other thing that I have noticed is that he seems to be more dehydrated than usual even with 50-64 oz of liquid a day. I think it is from him having the cold but maybe it is the corn? Thanks. -annie

That is how I learned my son did not tolerate corn [or rice]. Dana
Guest guest
Several months later.... Testing shows that it was indeed the corn. I did remove it for 3 days but did not see a difference after a day and so did not think it was that. I think he needed more time that a few days to start to see the difference. The IgG did show it was indeed a corn allergy. He also showed a little yeast in a different test. You were right on Dana. Thanks. ( I did not see the corn difference > for 5 days) I had to remove both corn and rice at the same time, and add them back one at a time, before I learned that my son did not tolerate either one. So there might be another food masking the corn issue. But, glad you learned the problem! It took ALA chelation and mito cocktail before my son tolerated corn again.
