Guest guest
I am trying to prepare my son for chelation by giving him the recommended supplements. However, everything I give him is making him nuts! We tried the Supernuthera and within a week he was stimming uncontrollably and showing a lot of aggression. And this was only at half the daily dose. I took him off of that and he had a pretty decent week. I assumed the high b6 could be causing the problems so the next week we tried Spectrum Complete, again at half the daily dose. He did ok for a few days and then we started seeing the same behaviors again. I took him off of that and gave him another week to calm down before I started Vitamin C, flax seed oil and magnesium. I figured most people do well on C and magnesium is supposed to be calming so it was a good place to start over. He seemed to be worse on these three than before. Now he is off of those. The only things he is currently taking is his probio gold and melatonin which he has done fine on for a couple of years. He has regressed so much in the past couple of months from the supplements that I am feeling so hopeless. I just don't see how I can ever begin chelation when I can't get any of these supplements in him. He is almost nine and I'm afraid to wait any longer. I chelated when he was 5 for about two months and I saw great progress. (Unfortunately it was all too much for his father and he took off, leaving me and three children.) I am just now in a position to try chelation again and it is so frustrating that he won't tolerate the supplements this time. I didn't notice this behavior when he was taking them before but he is much older and stronger now. His tantrums can be extremely difficult to control. While he was on these supplements, the school was calling me almost daily. I haven't seen this level of " autism " in my son in over a year. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I don't know what to do at this point. Thanks for listening to me vent. I never post but I've been reading this list for four years and all of you guys have been a great source of support.
