Sorry to be lazy, but my son's NT twin just tested with low creatinine. Di, I notice your son has it, too. Would someone remind me the meaning? We don't talk with Dr Heard for a couple of weeks.

Thanks,

Abigail

mineral/vitamin supplementation and abit of an update

Hi everyoneI have not been on this list for a while mainly because we have hit the dreaded 'stim hell' after 6 months on TD DMPS, various reasons for that I think but we are getting back on track now I think/hope!HistorySam aged 10 years, being doing biomed stuff for a loong time now! Started with infrared sauna about 4 years ago now which certainly improved general health then Pfeiffer (twice) MTP since 2003 under Dr Usman and more recently Nov 2004 Dr Usman and started TD DMPS in Jan this year, currently under Dr Heard for follow up testing.Did ABA for 6 years, Sam is now in special school and very happy with that. Also music therapy, cranial osteopathy, gf/cf organic diet. Now on usual supps plus B12 injections and folinic acid and twice weekly saunas.UpdateSam has coped well with DMPS every other day although still not upto full dose (38 drops), he is now on 25 drops slowly increasing but recently put a hold on due to a big increase in stimming, mainly hand flapping out of control at times in the evenings. He has responded well to B12 injections and folinic acid.Sam is generally a much 'happier' boy and more interactive. His biggest problem has always been anxiety although once he has done something and got used to things he then becomes much more confident in himself, this is certainly something that school have commented on (school do not know what we are doing as they will think we are mad!).Speech - Sam has very limited speech, mainly consisting of one word requests like toast, da bisc (biscuit), water, video, garden, back (when we are out walking the dog he says 'back' to try and go home! a recent breakthrough!, making a choice!Physically Sam looks healthier and poo much more normal looking these days, he does have episodes of huge wees one after the other some days, Dr U thought this was probably a toxic dump? Dr Heard mentioned vassopressin and oxytocin abnormalities in kids with autism?test resultsUrine toxic metals after TD DMPS challenge - mercury and lead approaching the upper limit of normalcomprehensive stool analysis - dysbiosis and presence of yeast and parasites - Dr Heard wants to start nystatin and antibiotic called paromomycin, to continue with rotated probiotics and naturals.I have come across biocidin from ages ago and started 1 drop at the moment, also very interested to hear about anyones experiences with collodial silver, what do you think, where can you get it? I know someone who makes their own but not sure if I'm upto that!Sam has low creatinine, bicarbonate, phosphate and urate and low ferritin, iron is normal. Thyroid normal.Dr H also thinks look into starting EDTA for lead. Conclusion - Sam is a 'hard nut to crack'! but we believe we are seeing slow steady progress and he is very happy these days and enjoying life much more so we will continue and heres to the future for all of us!Question - would be very interested to hear about what mineral/vitamin support you are all using? at the moment we are still getting compounds from Pfeiffer but it is expensive and I am looking to change to something I can buy here in the UK.thanks for reading, Di in herts

Hi Guys Not been around much recently but always looking a little at all my 500 msgs still to read. We also had low creatinine and it is to do with low muscle mass according to Dr Usmans office. However if it lies lower than the reference range it can skew all your other results as the ratios are set against this. Theres some good info on it at the Great Plains website.

Hi

My sons creatinine level was low during the challenge urine test. It was low

last time we did the test 4 months back. Should I supplement him with creatine

supplements. Suggestions..........

ALL children have low serum creatinine and low 24 hour urine creatinine on tests

using

adult normal ranges, which most tests do. This is not pathological.

This is typical, it is a result of the challenge test (which causes extra water

to be excreted

and dilutes the urine), and is not pathological.

Correct. Creatinine is produced from creatine in skeletal muscle. As a

result, the amount in the blood or in the body is very directly related

to muscle mass. The rule of thumb is that 'normal' creatinine in a well

done 24 hour urine should be about

18 mg per kilogram of body weight. If a child is particularly thin,

then the expected amount would be even less.
