We have chelated for 2 round with DMSA and have not noted any side

effects or any noticeable improvements. What is the opinion of the

list when we can add ALA. Some folks here have reported great progress

with the combo. What do the rest of you guys think.

' about 80lbs and almost 8 (in August) on 20mg/4 hour doses of

DMSA for 3 on 4 off. She's mercury and arsenic toxic. Any thoughts on

when to add the ALA???

In the FAQ, it says if you use DMSA only, it indicated 1mg per pound

for a child. Don't you folks think that needs to be corrected???

No need to wait. Start ALA with the next round if you'd like.

We are one of those families that saw some progress with oral DMSA

alone but much more noticeable progress once ALA was added. I actually

did 6 rounds of oral DMSA before adding oral ALA simply because I

wanted a DDI urine test to see what oral DMSA was doing... and my doc

wanted to wait 6 rounds before testing. It pulled some good lead, but

not much else.

Good luck.
