Guest guest
I tend to avoid it myself. Check Dr. Mercola's website, he is usually pretty up and up about that stuff. I do know that he did not advocate the use of microwave popcorn due to the bags being treated with something like silcone inside. I am sure its possible for the silicone to leach into the food. Why not make a thin cake in a glass baking dish, once it's cooled flip it out of the pan onto a large platter, then use a heart shaped cookie cutter...mini heart cakes?? Just a thought.... I do have a metal cupcake tin, but never bake in it without using those paper cupcake liners. > > Hi group, > Is sillicone safe to bake in? > > I do not use any metal cookware but would love to be able to make heart > shape cupcakes in sillicone bakeware. > > > Thanks > Alice >
