Re: sillicone bakeware-is it safe?????

I tend to avoid it myself. Check Dr. Mercola's website, he is

usually pretty up and up about that stuff. I do know that he did not

advocate the use of microwave popcorn due to the bags being treated

with something like silcone inside.

I am sure its possible for the silicone to leach into the food. Why

not make a thin cake in a glass baking dish, once it's cooled flip

it out of the pan onto a large platter, then use a heart shaped

cookie cutter...mini heart cakes?? Just a thought....

I do have a metal cupcake tin, but never bake in it without using

those paper cupcake liners.
