Brand new in fact, just took my 1st dose (3mg) last night. I slept

pretty good and thankfully no nightmares or vivid dreams (hubby and I

sure prayed about that and for no other bad side effects, I have had

so many).

I was prescribed this by my LLMD. I have late stage Lyme disease.

One reason I remember her prescribing it(don't have a good memory and

my notes about the ldn weren't good) is for Interstitial Cystitis,

plus I have IBD, and a host of other things from the Lyme. Also, in

a new Lyme book I just bought it says this author (LLMD) is having

exciting results with ldn!!!

My friends have helped me with some info already. One has been

trying to get me to consider taking ldn for a long time now, imagine

my shock when my LLMD handed me a script for it, with 9 other

scripts. I told my LLMD she has just made one of my friends very

happy. LOL

Anyway, I am on Lialda for the IBD. Does anybody know if there is a

problem with taking that and the ldn? The reg drug site I use said

there isn't, but I have found that they are not always accurate.

I am taking a good bit of meds, and just recently stopped 3 or 4,

because of side effects and being overwhelmed. I am, also, on a ton

of natural supplements. Are there any contraindicated? As far as I

could find on the ldn.org site I can take my ldn with my meds.

Btw, I am getting mine from Skip's, thanks to my friend's suggestion

and in researching I found almost everybody was mentioning Skip's.

Thanks.

hugs

PS I have stopped taking narcotics and really didn't take them much

at all, in spite of being told to (because chronic pain).

Hi Jan,There shouldn't be a problem taking Lialda with LDN. It appears to be an aspirin-based anti-inflammatory. This site discusses the drugs that are to be avoided when taking LDN:http://tinyurl.com/yv4a3kTo learn more about LDN, visithttp://tinyurl.com/2boot2With your IBD, you may wish to read the book, "The New Eating Right for a Bad Gut." It is available from Amazon.com through this link:http://tinyurl.com/2y92c3With best wishes,Dudley Delany

THE LYME DISEASE SOLUTION by Dr. Singleton. If you get it

from amazon.com you can get free shipping.

Is Valium and Zanaflex ok to take with the ldn? It wasn't on the

list, but I don't want to mess things up. I have to switch up on

Ambien CR, because it is ineffective if I take it more than 2-3

consecutive nights and so use valium (which isn't very effective, but

so far it's one that isn't giving me terrible side effects). Also, I

think, stress on " think " , that the Ambien CR is messing with memory

taking it more often. I can't be sure, because of my flare and

having tried so many new scripts all at once lately, but reg. Ambien

did it to me.

The zanaflex I have taken for years due to muscle spasms. I cut out

the daytime dose a long time ago, but really need to go back on it,

but hate being drowsy. Even after yrs. I was still a tad bit tired,

now quite drowsy. I just read that zanaflex is toxic in high doses.

Mine isn't high, but like I said I've been taking it for yrs. I am

going to ask my LLMD if there is something else. Not Flexeril, that

kicked my butt and bad! Baclofen worked, but that was more for

spasticity, which I no longer have. Any suggestions?

I am going back to bed right after I eat a piece of toast, because my

night was not good. The valium will not help me sleep, but a few

hrs. unless I am pain free and last night was far from pain free! I

am going to cont. to do a quick search in the meantime, because

taking zanaflex before I go back to bed would be a real help.

I guess I'm glad I'm taking LDN then, because I just found out I

tested positive for the Lyme Western Blot test. Does anyone know of

a forum where Lymies can dicuss their condition?

www.canlyme.com is an excellent site for everything about Lyme

coinfections, and drs' articles about diagnoses it mimics. There is a

good symptom page and there is a link for forums (Discussion).

Also, there is a group you can sign up with, lymeinfo, and you

get emails of Lyme news. The other ldn (newgenldnusers) has at

least one other Lymie (my friend) who has been using ldn for some time

now. I just joined this one and that this past week.
