Guest guest
Rene, You have to join this group to look at messages, anyway you could ask permission to post here? I did look at onibasu and although I do remember a post from Andy outlining contraindications for HBOT I could only find posts such as Jan was speaking of where he did not recommend HBOT. [ ] Re: HBOT purchase?? Old post from Andy on HBOT Jan, if you are interested in another, somewhat different post from Andy about HBOT, you can look at post #2782 at the group HBOTherapyforAutism. It does have his thoughts on contraindications for HBOT, as well as thoughts on its usefulness. I think that, like all of us, he is learning and opinions can evolve as new information and parent reports become available. I know you mean well, and this list serves a good purpose by generally being cautious about new treatments when others are far more " faddish " about them, but sometimes blanket warnings will discourage other parents from even investigating a potentially helpful option - and that can be harmful too. For some kids, HBOT could be the treatment that helps the most, who knows? People need to know if there is *ever* a place for a particular treatment (risk/benefit ratio, which subgroup is most likely to benefit, when to try it, etc), and if so, how to ensure that the treatment is administered in a way most likely to be helpful and safe. take care Rene > > I am re-post from onibasu regarding HBOT from Andy:
