Guest guest
My son is on a ton of supplements. We haven't really changed anything. Starting August 30, for three weeks we had to stop all enzymes, antifungals and probiotics in preparation for a endoscopy/colonoscopy. He is back on everything since he was scoped on Sept 20. Also at the beginning of August he had a high fever and a nasty rash that was diagnosed as Fifth's Disease. I'm not convinced it was Fifths. He didn't have the bright red cheeks and the rash was gone in 3 days. After being sick he became clingy and a little whiney. In the past month its become horrible. I can't even stand up without his whining " mommy..moooommmmmy, mommy will come. " I hear this the entire time I'm out of the room. Even if I tell him what I'm going to do and that I'll be right back he continues saying it over and over. He whines over every little thing. Usually just lets out a big " WWWAAAAHHH " and it goes on and on. He cries over everything. He's driving me insane. We are also seeing a decrease in spontaneous expressive language, asking repetitive questions, and repeating back questions instead of answering them Is it possible he isn't tolerating a supplement anymore? If anyone has seen this as a side effect of a supplement, what was it? I don't want to stop everything and add it all back one at a time. He's on a lot of stuff and that would take forever, and probably screw him all up in the mean time. I am hoping that by taking things away one at a time I will discover what it is, if its a supplement, I just was hoping to find a good starting point. Also, could detox cause this? or yeast? thanks Kerrie ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
Guest guest
I would assume he did not recieve any vaccines recently? And yes, my daughter had Fifth's and it comes with the redest cheeks you have ever seen. The rash does not last long but it's lacey looking. It all appears after the fever breaks usually. Yeast can cause this. So can viral problems. Is he on any antivirals? What for yeast? It seems kind of fishy that he got this way after that virus. Perhaps he has not gotten rid of it completely. By detox..do you mean he is chelating? It might help to list what supplements he does take. What vaccines if any lately. What diet if any. > > My son is on a ton of supplements. Guest guest
Kerrie I think that I would maybe suspect that he didn't eliminate whatever virus was causing the fever/rash. Does it seem like he regressed right after the fever was gone? Maybe try some anti-virals to see if it helps the situation. Or, the other thing is that maybe whatever virus he had caused an increase in yeast. My dd gets extremely whiney anytime her yeast gets bad, which always happens when we have to go off enzymes/anti- fungals/probiotics for a while. I'd probably experiment with the anti-fungals first, then consider something else. Good luck. Sheresa > > My son is on a ton of supplements. I once watched a cold virus migrate directly into my son's brain, and it caused a return of visual stims, a loss of language, and several other things. Try giving anti-virals, like OLE and especially vitamin C, see if that helps. Might also be yeast overgrowth, because viral " die off " tends to increase yeast.
