Guest guest
Hi: Our 7yo son had a 2nd endoscopy done and the GI doctor still found inflammation in the stomach lining and the Duodenum. GI doctor told us that the SCDiet might have to be modified as well as some vitamin supplements and enzymes. Please note I am not knocking down any diet or vitamin supplement but want to find out what is best for my son. He has been on the SCDiet for almost 3 years, which it did help his diarrhea, he eats everything organic, only drinks water all his supplements are hypoallergic, from either Kirkman, Thorne, Pure Encapsulation and VRP. The reason for doing the endoscopy is because he was still getting yeast despite the special diet, yeast protocol and chelation. Come to find out the inflammation was worse than it was when he had the 1st endoscopy so even though the diet helped with the diarrhea it hasn't helped his inflammation. I also want to know if the supplements that I'm giving him cause any GI problems. Kirkman: CoQ10, Buffered Magnesium Glynicate, Vit E, Molybendum, Enzyme Complete w/Iogest Houston: No-Fenol Enzyme Thorne: Citrimin II, Folapro VRP: Zinc Mono., Grape Seed Extract, Calicum Citrate, L-Carnitine, Vit D Pure Encapsulation: DHA/EPA, Vit A Natrol: Ester-C(gentle formula) GI doc told us not to change diet or supplements until the blood work and biopsies tests are completed. He did advise us to stop all enzymes use. Our DAN doc told us we might also have to modified the diet because the high protein might also be causing some inflammation, but also wants to wait to change anything until the all the test results come in. Any comments or advise will be appreciated, once again nothing against any diet or supplements but every child is different and if I need to change something I will. Thank you.
