I have taken the entire 5 without problem...but again, it is an individual

thing. Try it, see how you feel...or try three and see how you feel. I

couldn't tell any difference.

It's available in New Zealand, so I would say you should be able to get it.

Hi all,

I'm just curious, does anyone use a really good, low-cost, easy to find yeast

fighter? I'm currently using Three-lac and I like it a lot but it is expensive

($65 for a box of 60, using 1 or 2 a day) and I have to order it on-line and

then wait for delivery. I think right now all we are working on is yeast. I

have seen some phenomenal results with attention and writing after the ALA,

EDTA, Moly-B, Sam-E, DHA-EFA, which we are continuing. Thank you all for your

continued support and help. You have been amazing! Have a great day.

Sac. boulardii or if they are not cf, Florastor, about $32 for a bottle of 50

capsules, 2 per day, not cheap either but very very effective.

Thank you, I have activated charcoal, I only use it when my son has had

something he shouldn't have, like chocolate. Does it work on yeast? Doesn't it

also take out nutrients as well? That is why I have only been using it

occasionally. I also live in a very remote location.

Kathleen Anne <child_book_writer@...> wrote: For everyday

maintenance I use three probiotics that I rotate every few days, candidase or

candex whichever my HFS has available (I live in a very remote location!) For

the yeast-beast I use Solaray Yeast cleanse that has caprylic acid, GSE, pau

d'arco and tea tree oil as well as increasing my daily protocol. And activated

charcoal if I they have it.

The world is not yet exhausted; let me see something tomorrow which I never saw

before.

Does anyone know the difference between Florator and regular sac

boulardii? When I look at the ingredients for Florator it says

" Each capsule of Florastor contains: Saccharomyces boulardii lyo

250mg equivalent to 5 billion live cells. Other ingredients include

32.5 mg of lactose monohydrate, 2.85 mg of magnesium distearate and

coloring (titanium dioxide E171) "

I don't know why " lyo " means. Also, when you look at the research

provided by Florastor all the studies they cite seem to have used

just " plain " sac boul (I think). Is it the lactose monohydrate (??)

that makes the difference?

If I look at Kirkman's as one example it just says saccharomyces

boulardii. But I can get the Kirkman's for cheaper.

I'm getting ready to spend the motherlode on probiotics and I want to

sort some of these questions out. Any ideas/experiences?

Anita,

The difference for us is that you can give Florastor with food and plain Sac.

Boulardii should be given on an empty stomach per their instructions, sooo must

be different some how and that makes it, to us, way worth the extra cost.

We are notoriously bad at giving the everything at different times thing and on

an empty stomach, avoid it if we can.

" Lyophilized " means freeze dried. Also Florastor contains a small amount of

lactose and that's not true of Sac. Boulardii.

Anita, also wanted to add that they give Florastor to kids with problems with

diarrhea and so Florastor would cause constipation which the website does

mention. Not sure if this would be a listed problem with Sac. Boulardii. We had

no problems here with either digestive disturbance but her gut has always been

pretty solid and not reactive to much of anything.

GSE [grapefruit seed extract]. Adding Candidase and biotin keeps the

GSE dose down.

Jodie,

Some people have found that Epicor has helped with yeast, although it

is an immune modulator, not a yeast fighter. It's not easy to find,

but it is easy to order. You can take a look here to learn more

about it and order it:

http://www.vrp.com/art/1887.asp?

c=1173248237140 & k=/epicor/index.asp & m=/includes/vrp.css & p=no & s=0

You can also order it from iherb.com.

It is easy to dose as it is only one a day, empty or full stomach.
