Guest guest
Hi everyone!!! Sorry I haven't been able to post to much lately I have been so crazy busy. I finally got Abigail's Band paid for by the insurance company this week.It only took over two months since it had been approved by them. Everytime the claim was sent in it got denied, even though it was preapproved. I have spent a lot of time on the phone trying to get them to pay it!! We also got Abigail's Ped to listen to the fact that Abigail still can not turn her head to the left as well as to the right. We went for a PT evaluation two weeks ago, finally got approved by our insurance to start PT this Friday.!!! I can't wait! If our ped had listened when Abigail was 1-2 months old she may have never needed a band. We also have been on Chickenpox alert since we were at a Baby Shower with a boy who got the Chickenpox the next day.(The boy had taken a liking to Abigail and was around her a lot. Abigail is only 7 months so she has not had the vaccine and the boy's parents did not get him the vaccine either!!!! so today we were out of the woods NO chickenpox!!! Yeah!!! Glad to see everyone is playing nicely now on this board. Hope it can stay that way. Amy & Abigail NJ
Guest guest
Hi Amy, Hope that Abigail is doing well and that you can soon understand why she may be flattening the opposite side. Does she have tort? That is the only thing I could think of that may cause this, not regression, but opposite flattening. I can't understand why that (flattening) would happen, especially if time on her head is limited now that she is older! Good luck and hang in there, your daughter is unique, and one day you can tell her how very special her beginnings were! (and how trying! ) Take Care, ' Mom
Guest guest
Amy: I'm sorry to hear Abigail's ped can see she re-flattened a bit, I was hoping you were just imagining things . It's a good thing to have a CT scan done to rule anything out. I'm hoping it's nothing. As for her shaking her head, do you shake your head at her a lot while saying No? Just curious, Abby shakes her head while she says " no no no no no no " (I say no no a billion times a day!). Like your ped said too, it could just be a phase she's going thru, babies do things a million times when they first discover they are able to, then they forget about it & move on to something new. Good luck with the CT - please let us know how all goes. Debbie Abby's mom DOCgrad 6/22/01 MI > Hi everyone I just wanted to update you all on our Ped appointment > last Friday.
