Any reason why I can't get into the chat room?

I'm no computer guru, but it doesn't seem like it should be this hard

to get into the chat room . . . any advice? All I get is a line to

type on and send, but I can't see any body chatting. :( No options

to click on to install HTML or whatever they're saying I need.
