Guest guest
Greetings to all, As many of you know, we now know from experience that 40 sessions of HBOT (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) is a good starter, most children with any type of brain injury or neurological injury, including autism, need many more sessions than 40. 80 sessions is much better but most need at least 120 or more sessions. The big question you ask yourself " How can I possibly afford to do more than 40 sessions? " . We have done almost 15000 treatments at Miracle Mountain in NC and the most success we have seen has been in the 2nd or 3rd rounds of 40 each. I used to think that it is so important to try to help each child get at least 40 sessions of hbot. Now, I know that there are limitations to what we can do and how many children we can treat in a year. In fact we have booked so many at times that we have made the decision to give a position to a child who has never done any hbot rather than a child who has already had 40. As we watch these children improve so such in there 2nd and 3rd groups of 40, we are changing our policy and thinking on HBOT. I know we cannot treat everyone but there are many centers across the USA who can provide hbot. We have decided to address the big issue of cost of hbot at Miracle Mountain. In the past 2 years we have given away record numbers of grants at MM. We are pretty proud of that. But what about after the first 40, then what? When I look at a child and think to myself, if we could just do another 40 sessions I wonder what would happen? I mean, look at what has happened during the first 40 sessions, just think what we could do with another 40 or 80 sessions for that child. I have seen kids with autism virtually cured. I have seen kids with cp take there first steps and begin eating for the first time. WOW! Then what happens? The parents are out of money. How can they continue? Special needs kids are expensive, the therapies are expensive and the ones which work best are not covered by insurance or Medicaid. Beginning immediately, we will be working with parents to make possible at least 120 treatments instead of 40. Let me explain what is happening at Miracle Mountain. Judy and I are tired. Our health is failing us. Although Miracle Mountain has paid some bills for us, we have never drawn a paycheck in the 7 years we have been in operation. God has been good to us. He has provided so many blessings, we owe Him so much. We are going to concentrate on letting our techs run the center and we are going to concentrate on really seeing good things happen to these kids. We do not want the treatments to stop at 40. We want to make certain these kids get every chance to live a quality life. At Miracle Mountain, the first 40 sessions will be $59. per session. The second 40 sessions will be $49 per session, and the third 40 sessions will be $29 per session. In addition, we will be providing 2 rounds of AIT or Oxy-Sound Harmonics and the total cost for all of it?????????? $6,000. How can we do it? We can't, but we will. Most of our bills are paid and the loans for Miracle Mountain are mostly paid off. Judy and I are financially comfortable. And God is backing us. If you want to check prices, you will find AIT is normally $1400 and higher. We normally charge $400. For this program, we will only charge $200 each time. You must sign a contract for $6000 which will include 120 sessions of hbot over 18 months, they must be within 6 months of each other and closer, if possible. It will include 2 complete sessions of AIT, the first and last trip here. It will include the use of our Quadracizer patterning equipment as often as you want. If we discover that we are losing too much money to stay in business, and have to discontinue this deal, we will honor all who have signed up for the full deal. This gives you time to do fundraisers as you go over the 18 month period. Will we fill up? Of course, we always stay full. The point is to make a change in every child who comes to our center and not to sit up at night and wonder what would happen with that child if the parents had the money to continue treatments. If we can get enough technicians trained, we may consider adding more multichambers. If you know of people who would like to make donations towards this program, we would appreciate the help. However, donations or not, we are going to do it as much as possible and priority will be given to the 120 contracts. We have 2 spaces open to begin in April, the dates are on our web page and it will be first come, first serve. We are still working out the details, etc. and I will have to work out scheduling so we don't overbook but we will work out these challenges. Our cost of operations is the lowest it has been in the history of Miracle Mountain because I own the property, housing, etc. and it costs less to do repeat clients, less problems, etc. I think we can do it and must admit we are pretty excited about it. To learn more about HBOT, go to www.hbotmanual.com You will find our web page at www.miraclemountain.org but this info is not on it yet. Ok, it is up to you to figure out how to get off 23 days each time. You have to decide if your child is worth it or not and if you don't think so, we cannot help you. This is for your kids. We want to give them a chance at life, a good life. Give God the credit for these blessings because that is where they come from. and Judy Hartsoe, beginning our 8th year at Miracle Mountain. www.miraclemountain.org
