20/20 Stossel...Are You Scared of Vaccines?

Hi Everyone,

Recently, I sent an e-mail to Stossel re: his segment on

20/20 " Are You Scared of vaccines? " We had a discussion on another

group, and I sent a follow up letter including a response from a

parent. In my e-mail, I told Mr. Stossel that I had posted on

several . Since I did not originally do that, I am

pasting the entire correspondance here to make good on what I said.

Dear Stossel,

I sent an e-mail to you on 2/24/07 in response to your

segment " Are You Scared of Vaccines? " I am re-submitting it at the

bottom of this page. I want you to know that I posted a copy on

several autism related . I'm sure you are aware that

these groups reach people all over the world. Your program has been

getting angry and unfavorable responses from parents, grandparents

and advocates of vaccine injured children. You need to understand

that we are not trying to come across as anti-vaccine militants.

Many of us have children who were once typically developing babies,

but regressed into worlds that no longer include us. Should we find

it a coincidence that this has happened over and over and over again

following one or more vaccinations? Is it a coincidence that parents

who follow a biomedical protocol are horrified to see the results of

extensive lab work showing mercury, aluminum and other toxins in the

hair, blood, urine and feces of their precious children? And is it

just a fluke that through chelation and other biomedical treatments,

these toxins begin to pour out of them? And how do you explain the

recovery of so many of our children when these toxins are removed???

Of course we are resentful that our children were the sacrificial

lambs. Merck knew about the dangers of mercury, especially combined

with the adjuvant aluminum and other dangerous chemicals. Hopefully,

through the Combating Autism Act, Researchers will be able to find

the genetic link that will identify those children at risk.

Pharmaceutical companies have to concentrate on making vaccines

safe! The FDA has the responsibility to order the omission of

dangerous neurotoxins. The CDC needs to exercise control over the

number of vaccines that are being pumped into our children. Until

that happens, parents are going to be cautious when it comes to

vaccinating their children.

I am including a post from one of these groups, as we discussed your

very biased segment on 20/20. I believe this parent says it all and

I hope you take this into careful consideration when planning future

shows.

Trish,

What a great letter and certainly thought provoking. Yes, if only

Stossel would consider a story about " informed choice vaccines " .

What is really in those vaccines (toxins), what are the adverse

reactions, what can I do if my child has a reaction, HOW DO I EVEN

KNOW THE RIGHT QUESTIONS TO ASK... That kind of blind trust makes

us feel ignorant and guilty now. Back in the early-mid 90's, we did

not even question our pediatrician if we were doing the right thing

in vaccinating--of course it was. You were made to feel like your

child could DIE if you did not vaccinate--and I am sure this is

still happening today.

The public truly does need to hear from the real heroes here...first

from our children who have had to suffer through the damage caused

by vaccines, but all the parents, grandparents, friends, relatives,

etc. who are trying biomedically (with success) to recover them,

fighting with insurance companies, raising awareness, letter

campaigns to politicians (who most times ignore us), endless

researching, etc. A powerful celebrity could certainly help, but we

are the people who have the real stories to tell--heartfelt stories

about this journey that need to be heard. Some of us aren't as

forthcoming about what we have been through, others are very

outspoken...what matters is conveying the information to the public

in a fair and unbiased way. What a novel idea!!

I have mixed feelings about what will work...I understand the

outrage many of us feel in wanting to expose Big Pharma and

politicians, I also understand how humiliating it can feel when you

mention biomed to a group of people and you get that " you are an

alien from outer space " look. The question becomes how can we get

the public to LISTEN and THINK FOR THEMSELVES? How can we stop

another generation of children from being harmed?

I am on this rant today because not only do I very much agree with

what you said to Stosssel and Gov. Strickland, but yesterday I

was looking at video footage of our middle son's 4th birthday party

in 2001. It was so obvious he was having problems, speech, social,

etc. We kept asking his doctor for help and we were told he was a

boy and they are just slower to develop (he is also a boy who was

fully vaccinated). It brought tears to my eyes watching him

struggle on that video. Thankfully BECAUSE OF BIOMED, now he and

his older brother are almost ready for the last phase of chelation--

adding in ALA. In the past year we have witnessed our sons

transform into the boys we always knew they were. Speech has

improved, social issues have improved, they have energy--no longer

lethargic, are creative and using their imaginations, have made

friends and both have made the honor roll. They are close to

recovery.

The best thing Stossel could do is air THESE kinds of stories.

Show our before and after home video footage. The title of the show

could be " Extreme Vaccine Makeover: Biomed Edition "

Dear Stossel:

Having just read the transcript from " Scared of Vaccines? " I just

want to say that I disagree with your personal " scare tactics " . I

wish I could have watched the actual show so that I could have

counted the number of Pharmaceutical ads. I am not totally anti-

vaccine. I am, however, against the increasing number of vaccines

that are constantly being forced on America's children. Take some

time to look into the ingredients that are added to these shots.

Mercury, aluminum, formaldehyde... I could go on. These neurotoxins

are not safe for anyone, and there is a subset of children who are

more vulnerable than others. My grandson is one of them. After

receiving all of his shots (and mildly reacting to the MMR), he was

given a flu shot at 19 months. This was his toxic tipping point. He

lost most of his typically developing milestones, and acquired

countless recognizably autistic behaviors. On top of this, his gut

was damaged and his immune system was on overload. He suffered from

mono, anemia, continual ear infections, colds, pink eye and strep.

He began to crave wheat based foods, cheese and milk.

Lab tests showed that he was harboring mercury, aluminum, lead,

nickel, tin, cadmium, beryllium, tungsten and many more toxic

metals. He is a child who cannot excrete toxins on his own.

Through biomedical treatment, his gut is healing and the toxins are

leaving his body. He cannot tolerate any gluten or casein containing

foods. He takes daily supplements and is on a chelation program. We

have been working with him for over 2 years. It is a slow and

expensive process, but we are getting him back.

You used your own daughter, , as the poster child for

vaccines. She missed a shot and got whooping cough. But she

recovered, didn't she? What about the tens of thousands of children

who are vaccine injured who will never recover? Those who do,

undergo years and years of intensive therapy, biomedical treatment,

and in the latter case, both.

As for the DPT shot, there is another subset of children who have

reacted to the Pertussis component. " P " is therefore omitted in

future boosters. Are you saying that even these children should get

the full dosage for the greater good? Sorry, Mr. Stossel, but if

had reacted the way many of our damaged children have, you

would be on the forefront of the " No Forced Vaccination " movement.

Again, I am not totally anti-vaccine, but I am willing to stand up

and be a voice for the children who are most vulnerable. To Dr.

Offitt, I say " shame on you! " He is well aware of the secret meeting

on vaccine safety at Simsonwood. He knows that the dangers of

vaccine additives, especially mercury, are very real. He knows that

the Verstraaten study was flawed. Being connected to BigPharma, I

would expect such blatant lies to come from him.

I am not trivializing whooping cough. It is very real, but did you

know that less than 1% of these cases end up requiring

hospitalization? The greatest risk is among infants 6 months and

younger. I am concerned about this age group as the nervous system

is not developed at this age . Many infants cannot tolerate the

additives in vaccines, and most parents don't know if their child

could be at risk. However, some do as they have other family members

who have been vaccine injured. Parents who choose not to vaccinate

should not be chastised and discriminated against. Parents who do

vaccinate should be educated to proceed carefully and selectively.

An entire generation of children is in trouble. 1 in 6 school aged

children in this country is on an IEP. Juvenile Arthritis's,

Diabetes, Asthma, Allergies, ADD, ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Apraxia,

Oppositional Behavior Disorders, Bi-Polar, Schizophrenia,

Depression...do you know how many children are on prescribed drugs

because of these illnesses? Do you honestly believe that our kids

are unaffected by environmental toxins, including those in their

vaccines? The number of vaccine doses a high school graduate will

receive has risen from about 8 in 1950 to around 96 today. Do you

honestly believe that over-vaccinating has nothing to do with the

poor health our children????

Think about doing a program on this, Mr. Stossel. I know that an

unbiased presentation on this topic will never happen because the

pharmaceutical companies who advertise so heavily will not allow it.

Too bad.

Think about that when has children of her own....
