Dear Angele:

Well, I read all kinds of bad things about all materials, synthetic of

course are bad, flame retardant additives are very bad. Even 100% cotton is

purported to be bad because many of the clothes are imported, and some

countries

can't be trusted to NOT use poisonous pesticides and chemicals. I ended up

deciding to buy all 100% cotton bedding for everyone, and all 100% cotton

clothing for children under 3. I try to buy cotton for everyone else, and try

to

avoid wrinkle-free treated clothing (toxic too). I don't use dryer sheets

anymore (toxic), and just add a little white vinegar to the wash with the

detergent, and never have any static cling. I bought 100% cotton pajamas

without

flame retardency, due to the fact that it was thin, clingy style. I guess

the government has rules about flame retardency needing to be in kids pajamas

if they are not polyester which is suppose to be flame retardent already. I

have read labels on those skinny-style pajamas that because they are

close-fitting they don't have to have flame retardency. Thus, I recommend

looking for

clingy-fitting pajamas and read their labels to see if they are

retardent-free.
