Guest guest
Well, it is 5 weeks today...nothing yet. Has everybody seen results in the first 5 weeks or does it usually take longer? Max is getting the new band tomorrow at 4:00 so when I go I will ask to see the head mold so that I can compare. How do you know when you are defeated? How long do you give it before you just except what you have? I don't plan on doing this for months with no results. Can anyone give me an honest guestimate as to how long I should give the new band? Please. Thank you. Amy (Max's mom) Starband 2/19 Ps - Max is officially a walker!
Guest guest
Amy - Congratulations on Max walking! Let the fun begin! Have your orthotics guy measure his head. Has it grown? Also wait until you get that head mold. It really can be hard to judge change without the mold, I think. Eager to hear how this new band is different. Good luck! Guest guest
Amy: (congrats, Max on walking!) I know it's frustrating that you haven't seen any results yet, but hopefully the new helmet will show some better results. I personally would give the new one at least 4-6 weeks. Talk to your ortho. Ask him to explain everything to you in detail. If you don't see results after several weeks in the new band, I would demand your money back. Let us know how it goes tomorrow. Guest guest
Amy, You should see results after Max's next growth spurt. How old is he again? Hopefully the new band will be the answer. I wouldn't let it go too long before I started bugging the living daylights out of everyone involved as to why you aren't seeing results! Getting a good look at the original mold is a good idea too. You might find that there has been a little correction that you just haven't noticed since you see him everyday. Keep us posted!
