Guest guest
Selena: My son Hayden did the same thing after he had his helmet for about 10 days. I was worried about his sleeping on his face [sometimes he is totally face down on the crib], but the ped said if he was uncomfortable, he'd move. His tummy is now his favorite position to sleep in, and even in his carseat he tries to turn, and gets very frustrated when he can't! Guest guest
hi, Bri slept in her crib for a nap yesterday (because she just couldn't get to sleep anywhere else)and just couldn't get to sleep untill she rolled onto her stomach. Her helmet has a turned up ridge on the back of her neck so I think this makes her uncomfortable. She also woke up with a nasty red mark in the shape of the sideburn & it took forever to go away (so it seemed) She also puts her face down into the matress sometimes and I know what you mean it makes me nervous too. Tonight will be her first time sleeping through the nite with her helmet on. (hopefully) Good luck to you and wish us luck please. Guest guest
Selina, My i also sleeps on her stomach...she will not tolerate being on her back at all anymore. She usually wakes up with some red marks around her face where the band presses, but the marks fade as soon as she is up and around. This has been happening since she was banded back in Novemeber, and we have never had anything come of it (skin break down, etc.) So as long as the red marks fade once Ian wakes up, you probably won't have a problem either. Best of luck to you! Sincerely, Jaya Dong http://www.CAPPSkids.org > Last week Ian has figured out how to flip from his back to his > tummy.
