Hi all,

i just bought some DMSA capsules. My daughter can't swallow capsules

and was wondering if I could put it in a syringe mixed with water just

before swallowing.

Yes this is fine, it's just premixing a bunch of doses for later that

is not fine.

Jan,

What do you mean by " a bunch " ? We mix 10 doses into orange juice. Do I need

to create a dose every 3 hours?

Thank you.

According to Moria's site, DMSA should be mixed with something

acidic to prevent oxidation (pineapple juice, lemon juice). It

should be used up in less than a day, preferably half a day.

For more on how to give doses, see Moria's page.

When I tried mixing DMSA in lemon juice, it didn't dissolve and I

could tell by symptoms that I was not getting even doses. My

symptoms improved a lot when I stopped mixing in liquid and simply

split the powder into empty capsules.
