Guest guest Posted March 19, 2001 Report Share Posted March 19, 2001 As everyone knows, Bryce (9 months on the 24th) is in the STARband. He has had this one for 2 months now and we have seen GREAT improvement with this new one. He had his first one for a month. Anyway, we have found a " new " flat spot on the back of his head. I'm not sure if it's actually a " flat spot " or if it's normal and it's just more " flat " since the side is flat. Know what I mean? Has anyone else experienced this? I just noticed it earlier this week. The orthotist wasn't concerned about it, but I'm not sure. The STARband doesn't touch that spot because it's connected (for lack of a better word) to the flat spot that we are trying to fix. My question is, does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? It's almost like he is lying flat on the back of his head, but he NEVER does!! He's always on one side or the other. I'm calling the neuro tomorrow to see if we can get in to see him. I don't know if I'm just overreacting or what. Any insight would be helpful! Thanks.
