Guest guest
TMG is tri methyl glycine, made from beet greens. It and DMG are used in place of methionine. Simple explanation. I'm sure Andy has info. on it. Alison F. 3b. Re: Just want to make sure I'm doing this right Posted by: " Laurel " autiemom4@... autiemom4 Date: Tue May 22, 2007 8:23 am ((PDT)) -Dana, thanks for responding! This board is the very first time in all my reading I've heard anyone talk negatively about spirulina/chlorella. I'd like some details if possible! ;o) What is TMG? (stand for) My son is non verbal, so I am VERY interested in anything that might bring about speech. He had a little when he was 2, but it was lost. He is 15 now, almost 16. Can you use the TMG with DMG? Or is it one or the other? The protocol we use is the Geier protocol, which with the Lupron/Leuprolide componet, chelation is done every other day rather than the 3 days on, 4 days off. As for ALA, I give it with the chemet, at 300 mg. I believe I read (on this board or chk2) that the ALA dosage should match the oral DMSA dose. Like I said he is almost 16, and weights about 147 lbs. We have had a lot of success on this protocol so far. He started the Lupron in Aug of last year, and the chelation in Oct. I believe. He was extremely aggressive and violent until the protocol. He also had a long history of self abuse. He only has rare episodes of tantrums/aggression/SIBs now compared to several times daily before. (his arm is healthier looking now than it has been in 7 or 8 years, from him biting it), But I am never satisfied, I want more for my son. Starting with speech. we don't have any silver in our mouth...I've had all mine removed a year ago, but the kids have never had any, never had any cavities. We did use to eat A LOT of tuna though. Something that is forbidden in our house now. Thanks for your help! Laurel
