Guest guest
Debbie, I'm glad you feel good about the specialist you saw! It's great that you can have a re-check when your baby is still young so if you end up needing a device it won't be too late! Please keep us posted on progress! Guest guest
We took Dean to visit Dr. Hubli (Washington, DC area) just this past week and he recommended that we wait 2 months and then come back. He had indicated that some of my son's facial irregularities come from my husband. (I had never noticed). Some are from the tort. His main problem is his jaw and a DOC band could do very little to fix it. So we will go back in 2 months when he is 5.5 months old to see if it is getting better or remaining constant. He thought that we should see some correction. Then, the next day, I took Dean to a PT for the Tort. She had a boy with Tort and she said that a mild plagio will disappear around 18 - 24 months. We had been blaming ourselves for various things " if we had only known. " Dr. Hubli made us feel much better about that. It is still hard not to think it. It is hard to know that your son's jaw may be forever irregular and there is only so much you can do Debbie H
