Guest guest
Sue, I have to agree with Jill, the Bronx Zoo is definately a must see! We just LOVE that place and so do the kids! I will think about it some more and see what else I can come up with. Sincerely, Jaya Dong > Hi all, > > We're going to be visiting New York the week of April 7th through the > 15th!!! Guest guest
Sue, I talked with my hubby who grew up in Manhattan some suggestions that he has are: Empire State Building Statue of Liberty Museum of Natural History - cool dinasour exhibit The Planatarium - right next to the Museum of Natural History Circle Line (3 hr ferry ride around Manhattan) - might be a little cold for that The Intrepid Museum - A retired Aircraft carrier turned into a museum (right next to circle line) Yankee game - if the Yanks are in town That is pretty much all he can think of, but if we think of more, we will let you know. Sincerely, Jaya Dong > Hi all, > > We're going to be visiting New York the week of April 7th through the > 15th!!! Guest guest
Im in California too, but my favourite thing we did when we visited NY was to go up the Empire State Building after dark - the view is amazig at any time, but in the dark with all the coloured lights of the city, it is magical. Enjoy yourself. Kimberley (Mum to Evan and Hope) > Hi all, > > We're going to be visiting New York the week of April 7th through the > 15th!!! Guest guest
I must say Jaya has some great ideas. I believe the Yankees are in town but if you want tix you best get them on-line so they are not sold out(it's opening week). You definately DON'T want to sit in the bleachers at Yankee Stadium. There is also a planeterium on LI called Vanderbuilt Museum and Planetarium - that is also fun. So much to do. I hope we get a chance to meet. Guest guest
Jaya's list was great. I would add the South Street Seaport. If you can get out without the kids go to McSorleys at 3rd and 7th near NYU. One must experience it to believe it although I hear they now have separate bathrooms for the men and women!!!!!!!!!
