Guest guest
Hi, I've just finished round 8 of dmsa/ala chelation(22nd ALA round) and I'm having severe stomach aches and nausea along with loss of appetite. Previously I have tried doing the dmsa round every other week, but this time I gave a gap of 3 weeks and I'm having all these issues. Looks like I got more lead out of the bones.... I have read somewhere that when lead leaves the body it produces all the symptoms of lead poisoining.Strangely never had these symtoms when I got poisoined! Does anyone have suggestions to alleviate the stomach aches or any home remedies that would help? Can yeast cause stomach aches? Thanks in advance! Guest guest
> > Hi, > > I've just finished round 8 of dmsa/ala chelation(22nd ALA round) It would help to have more information about what you are doing. What doses of DMSA and ALA are you using? What is your approx weight? Was the DMSA dose the same for all 8 rounds? What side effects did you have on the first 7 rounds? What dose of ALA were you using for the first 21 rounds, and what side effects did you have on those rounds? How frequently do you take doses? (How many hours between doses). Are you getting up at night for night dosing? What supplements are you taking? > and > I'm having severe stomach aches and nausea along with loss of > appetite. There could be a number of things going on. It would help to have more information. Guest guest
Have you tried activated charcoal? It is available at health food stores. Buy capsules, not loose powder! It soaks up toxins very nicely. It's used in hospitals. I developed nausea and dizziness problems, and take activated charcoal. Works for me very quickly - usually within 20 minutes. The only downside is dark or black stools, and might cause temporary slowed bowel movements. (Helpful if there's diarrhea.) Please review your chelation protocol. I did it wrong! It made me terribly sick. This might be happening with you.... Do add in probiotics, and make certain you are supplementing minerals. Can yeast cause stomach aches? My #4 complains that yeast causes stomach aches. For me personally, yeast causes headaches. But, interestingly, once I no longer needed yeast control [at about round 50], the anti-fungal supplements then *caused* headaches. At first, I thought I must be having a bad bout of yeast, so I took more. NOT a good idea! So you can consider adjusting your yeast protocol, see if that helps. Guest guest
Thanks a lot to all those who responded. , I'm using Andy's protocol dosing every 3 hrs(4hrs at night) and taking 25mg each of ALA and DMSA(my weight is 128lbs). I didn't have any side effects with ALA for all the 22 weekend rounds. DMSA did make me more emotional the first few rounds and it's getting better with every round. Initially I did 4 weekend rounds of DMSA along with ALA, and then just ALA everyweek & DMSA/ALA every other week. Now I'm doing ALA everyweek and DMSA/ALA every 3 weeks. I'm taking all the supplements per Andy's protocol, but lately I haven't been up to the mark on that. For the last 2-3 weeks I have been skipping supplements(I'm chelating my 7.5 and 2 yr old sons...after organizing theirs I just don't seem to hv any patience to take care of mine :-)). I have to get back to the rountine of taking them! I'm suspecting its yeast, b/c I had almost 1.5 glasses of mango juice loaded with sugar on Friday night, and the stomach aches started on Saturday morning. Last evening I was shocked to see my tongue with thick white coating of thrush(never recall having such white tongue). I'm going to up my yeast protocol and see if it helps. I learnt my lesson - avoid anything sugary during DMSA rounds. Barb, Yes, I'm already taking Kyodiphillus priobiotics and coconut oil to control the yeast. Judy, Yes I have heard about activated charcoal being helpful. I will try it. I'm doing Andy's protocol the right way. Dana, Yes, mine seems to be yeast too. I have never had that kind of thrush on my tongue. I don't know how our kids are tolerating the stomach aches...it was so bad that I couldn't sit at all and had to come back from work...I remember my 2 yr old holding his tummy and complaining...I didn't realise it was this bad.. I have starved myself for almost a day now just being on yogurt, and taking more coconut oil(yeast protocol). It seems to be already helping. Thanks again to all of you! All in my mouth, tongue, and down the back of my throat. Nasty stuff. GSE eliminated it, fortunately. Dana
