I don't think you are being paraniod at all. Anyways isn't that in

our job description? LOL It sounds like Genna has about the same

bumps & valleys as Bri has and I don't know if it helps but they did

do x-rays to rule out Craniosynostosis and it came up clear. If you

are still concearned then I would ask the Dr. to send her for x-rays.

Most Dr.s will do it even if only to set your mind at ease. Hope

this helps some.

I agree with April - you're not being paranoid at all. You're being a

Mommy! I would get a CT scan done to be sure. That is, as far as Im

aware, the only way to tell once and for all. The doctors may also be

able to feel the sutures between her skull plates by hand, confirming

that they havent fused, but a CT is the definitive proof.

Good luck.

Hello, my son max had bony ridges over both coronal sutures and the

left lamboidal suture. His pediatric nuerosurgeon said he had never

seen that before when not indicative of craniosynostosis. now that I

read about all the kids here that have it, it makes me wonder about

how good of a nuerosurgeon he is, but the cat scan made me know for

sure the sutures were open. I would recommend you ask for the cat

scan we had the x ray first which was inconclusive and then had to

have a cat scan anyway. It increased waiting time to know a diagnosis

and exposed him to extra radiation to have both procedures. I'm not

sure of what the radiation levels are for either procedure but I'm

sure that catscan is higher, so it may be recommened to do the x ray

first.Either way, make sure you get one to put your mind at ease and

to double check the diagnosis. Doctors aren't always right.
