Guest guest
My daughter has the oddest problem. Under her arms (pits) is very brownish in color. Her knees and elbows are sometimes sort of discolored as well and both have a very dry and rough patch (on both elbows and knees). The inside crook of her arm (where the elbow bends is starting to look a little brownish like her armpits as well. We have not begun chelating yet. I am still studying and waiting for her hair test results. But this problems has been around for years. You guys know so much about suppliments, etc. what could be causing this? Thanks for any info. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

Guest guest
Adrenals could be the problem. If so it will likely show up on the hair test. Does your daughter have adrenal symptoms? Guest guest
> both have a very dry and rough patch (on both elbows and knees). This was folic acid deficiency at my house. Affected the heels and hands more than the knees and elbows tho. Dana
Guest guest
Key-words; Niacin Vitamin B3; Pellagra; Skin disorders; rashes. Actually you're correct...this is actually a well known Vitamin Deficiency of the Vitamin B's in particular " Niacin Vitamin B3. The reason the Folic Acid would help correct this is: by taking Folic Acid (Folate:Folican) you would help absorb Niacin B3. The Folic Acid would also help in itself. In fact Age-Spots can be helped with Folic. (and Niacin). The actual name of the disease which causes Rough dry scaly skin; dark patches; and so forth; is called *PELLAGRA. I'll send a facts page. PELLAGRA is specifically a disease of A Deficiency of Niacin Vit. B3. Other B-Vits. may also help cure. Pellagra should be treated with Niacin Vitamin B3 either through a prescription or over-the-counter. 100 mgs. a day is recommened; I would check Kirkmans for *Niacin. (All Vitamin B-Complex formulas have Niacin B3 and Folic; etc. Pellagra is one of the easiest Nutritional Disorders to diagnose because the symptons are so consistent. Often a rash on the face tongue or arms may accomapny Pellagra. Would you believe Pellagra was discovered in the 1800's? And yet Dr.'s today still do not recognize and treat Pellagra with Niacin Vitamin B3 which is the only known cure? with the exception of other B-Vitamins? If not treated; Pellagra is considered a " dangerous disease! talk to dr. (food sources of Niacin; Brewer's Yeaast tablets;Peanut-Butter natural. -- In , " danasview " <danasview@...> wrote: > > > > both have a very dry and rough patch (on both elbows and knees). > > > This was folic acid deficiency at my house. Guest guest
Note: do not use Peanut-Butter unless your child is not allergic. Niacin is abudnant in the diet; whole grains;wheat germ;seeds;beans. Guest guest
Anne, FWIW, toxic metals and resulting digestive problems interfere with the body's ability to use nutrients.
