Dr Bock has suggested that I start using the td-dmsa for Cameron to

address his lead, which he has in spades. He prescribed the every 8 hour

for three days scenario. Is this okay, because transdermal may have a

different action, or should it be every 4 hours, identical to the oral

dmsa? I really appreciate input on this.

Just my opinion..but I thought DMSA was every 4 hours. I would double check w/Dr. Bock....I didn't think it was different oral or TD.

TD-DMPS is every 8 hours.

Yes, every 4 hours, just divide the 8 hour dose, in half.

Frequency is more important than dosage according

to Andy. So you are good on frequency.

The dosage is technically very high, but who knows

how much is actually absorbed TD? Andy's dosage is

1/4 to 1/2 mgs per lbs of body weight oral. So a 100

lb. child would recieve 25 to 50 mgs per dose.

You are giving, nominally, 125 mgs per dose

If you are not having unpleasant side-effects,

then it does not sound like you are having

any problems, in my lay person opinion.

I think it is hard to know with transdermals, since it is not clear how

much gets absorbed. But it is good that you are dosing on Andy's

recommended schedule. Are you seeing gains?

Anne,

We have seen amazing results. Although, after about round 15 or 16 it was taking

longer and longer for him to recover. We took about 5 months off and worked on

tweaking biomeds. I ordered a new shipment from Lee Silsby and it seems they

have reformulated the product as it has very little odor anymore at all. He is

now tolerating it the best he ever has. I usually do the timing 3 on 11 off but

because school is starting next week I didn't want it to interfere with the new

all day scheduling so I am doing 3 on 4 off. What do you all do with the all

day school schedule as far as dosing? Do you physically go to school and do it

there? My ds has technically lost his dx since we started over a year ago. Still

many delays to work on, but his ability to attend to academics and his all

around tune in ness is doing so much better. After starting so far down on the

chart in kindergarten, he is now starting 1st grade at or above grade level

requirements.
