I have applied the counting rules and the mineral transport seems to be normal. His aluminum levels are in red, and antimony, arsenic, silver and tin are all in yellow. His mercury seems to be in green but quite low. Should we assume that he is not excreting mercury? Can we start chelation at such a young age? He does seem to have some symptoms of mercury poisoing like excessive sweating(during nights especially,he soaks his pillow), sleep issues(wakes up atleast 2 times),reactions to egg(not sure if its high sulphur). He hasn't been vaccinated except for 3 polio shots (I thought it doesn't have thimerosal). He is advanced for his age in terms of speech(putting 2 words together),gross and fine motor skills etc, but definetely seems to have issues like aggression, tantrums lately(can't discount it as terrible two's). Should I start with DMSA? Any suggestions on how to give the dose every 4 hours for him? What if I can't get him to take the complete dose, should I discontinue in the middle of the round? How long should I chelate him? Myself and my 7yr old autistic son have deranged mineral transport, and we are chelating just with ALA. Awaiting my husband's hair test results(his is a classic case of Hg poisoing with all the symptoms), but he is also been chelating. Now, if I start with the little one, can I just do DMSA for him every 3 hrs instead of every 4 hrs, so that way all of us are on the same schedule? Husband blames ourselves(indirectly me) that inspite of having an autistic son, we messed up with the little one by not providing the right diet to include all the nutrients of the methylation cycle. Our brains are so fried up, being toxic ourselves and trying to figure out where in the world he could get exposed to so many toxic elements. We are in the epi-center of a coal burning plant(less than 15miles), and 2 others not far away. Not sure if that is the source of exposure. Thanks in advance! And those damn power plants. And did either of you have metal fillings when you got pregnant or carried him? With or without counting rules..was his test close on any rules? Because sometimes close is a yes. Especially if the aluminum and tin are elevated. And in some people the deranged mineral thingy doesn't happen at all, or does not show up right away. Which is the case in younger people who have not had the exposure for as long. I would assume He is not excreting metals. His toxics are too high and I too would be concerned. You can chelate him despite his age, using a dose for his body weight and the right supplements. Hidden mercury can also cause the other metals too be high. In any case, he is a candidate for chelation. You could use dmsa or ala whichever. With this total toxics being high you might opt for dmsa/ala together in which case you do every three hours with both. Eggs can be the sulpher issues, yes. And it might improve with chelation. Dont' worry they all blame us I think. I don't care if he blames me..since I seem to be the one doing all the work to make it right anyway! All that matters is that you are doing what you can now, it does no good to blame.. I would get him a BabeSafe cover for his crib and then buy 100% cotton bedding, get rid of those flame retardant feety pj's and bedding. They contain antimony and may be contributing to that sweating. But yes, night sweating is a sign that his body is detoxing something. Please hang in there, even if you followed a special diet for him, you would probably still be in this boat. The enviornment it too toxic now days and the food supply low in nutrition, and of course...genetics...many of us are poor excretors.
