You certainly can, but IMO I think it is probably easier to go for the higher doses with just a few of the antivirals you believe to be working the best. I also believe that for most of our kids, longer term lower doses are better. > > My second question is: are there any anti-viral agents I should add > per my son's condition? I think many parents have experienced a lot of success with Virastop-- it works on both enveloped and non-enveloped viruses. However, if you are adding in Valtrex, I'm not sure how many antivirals you want to have on board. Most people, whether it is the best approach or not, tend to use the naturals in some sort of combination OR Valtrex (sometimes with one or two naturals). Simply getting all of those in your kid a few times a day might be too daunting. Also, it may be too much for your child's system, particularly if you add in Valtrex at the generally recommended dosage on top of all the antivirals you're already using. Guest guest
hi Anita, Thanks for your comments. For Vit-A, I will have a phone-consultation with DAN! this Wednesday. I think I will try Mega Dose, following a maintenance dose. I have Micel Vit-A from Klaire lab received yesterday. For Vira-Stop, I did try it and didn't see any difference. Thanks. For my son, vitamin C was essential, and he required high doses. Also, I used olive leaf extract and Virastop enzyme. This combination eliminated his viruses, and prevented new ones from entering his brain. > With all above anti-viral agents, he is still showing no rash, not > sick (only twice mild fevers). Guest guest
Dana, Thanks. I do have Olive Leaf, Vit-C and Megnisum citrate on board. ViraStop I tried also, don't see any difference. I feel the dosage is key. I recall that in other thread, you mentioned that to up the dosage up to the tolerance. Is that correct? Can you share your dosage? Thanks. I would see new rashes or improvements etc. Then when things settled down, I would increase the dose again. I did this until further increases did not produce any further improvements. The most daily I gave: vitamin C, 45 grams Virastop, 30 capsules OLE, 3000mg Dana
Guest guest
Dana, Wow! That max dosage is ammazing! When you gave 45 grams Vit-C, I can't image how the stool looks like. Thanks. Guest guest
Yeah, this type of thinking is in my DNA now! Have a nice day! It looked absolutely normal. His body needed that much vitamin C. Dana
Guest guest
Dana, What you said is really interesting and it surprised me. Now I'm really interested in increasing the dosage based on the reaction! From the previous email, you have explained how you increase or stop increasing; also you shared the max dosage of Vit-C, ViraStop, and OLE. Now I have another two questions: 1. for example, you graduately increase ViraStop to 30 capsules/day. What criteria you used to decide to stay on the dosage, and What criteria you used to decrease back to maintenance dosage? I assume the dosage graph woulld be BELL curve if you draw one? 2. You had very good result from ViraStop. Did you repeat the high dosage treatment again and again? If yes, what criteria you used to make you do it again? Thanks. Wenwei > > Dana, > > Wow! Once things leveled off at 30 capsules, I tried increasing it, and saw no difference. So I kept the higher dose until it started causing problems. I increased it and the problems increased. I decreased it and things improved. So I gradually decreased it until I removed it. > 2. You had very good result from ViraStop. Did you repeat the high > dosage treatment again and again? Right now, he only needs a small dose of vitamin C [500mg] along with carnitine and whey protein powder [otherwise he does not tolerate any vitamin C].
