Good question, Adrienne. I was taking 2-3 grams of Vit. C every day and then I happened to mention on this list that I had severe leg/calf pain. Someone pointed out that too much Vit. C had caused leg pain in them, so I cut back to 500 mg./day, and I don't notice any difference. More importantly, after 6 years on this list there hasn't been a large number of members who have had the positive results that you have had. Reading your previous message, it could be that w/ all your other supplements, Vit. C works in conjuction w/ some of them and you really need it given your protocol. Oh yeah, my leg/calf pain has gotten better. .. ..>>>> Leg/calf pain disappeared with adequate amounts of Magnesium with it's B6 cofactor and vitamin E. mjh " The Basil Book " http://foxhillfarm.us/FireBasil/
Guest guest
Tell us about your child: age, weight, symptoms, present interventions. Gut healing is usually the first step. This usually involves acidophilus supplements. IMHO. --- Knall <sknall@...> wrote: > Ok, so again, excuse my naivete...like many things > in the autism > world, I wish for a simple breakdown of how to > start, the side > affects, what happens, what the expected results > are, etc. Help? > > > ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Tonight's top picks. Guest guest
OK, Jack is 6 /12 diagnosed at 29 mos. with ASD, as of late Aspergers. Not sure that matters, seems to be all ball bearings to me. He is 47 lbs. Symptoms: rigidity, night waking (forever and right around the same time every night 2 a.m.), sensory issues (clapping, lights, food textures, colors), potty trained #1 at 4 everything else at 5+. Chronic ear infections since 5 mos., asthma. Current interventions; RDI, speech, OT, craniosacral, social skills, karate, food therapy. Guest guest
I am not a doctor and I cannot give medical advice. We have seen for my son over 10 doctors in California, New York, Florida, North Carolina, Florida, Massachusetts, and Georgia. We have two active autism doctors presently. The most important thing I have learned is that there is no " captain " of my child's health care but me and that I must learn to perform my role as " captain " by exposing myself to as many information sources as possible. This is the " basics " . You are in the right place for much information. --- Knall <sknall@...> wrote: > OK, Jack is 6 /12 diagnosed at 29 mos. with ASD, as > of late > Aspergers.
