Ours looks like he is fully awake and even takes the pills and glass of water, but after he does he plops right down and is out cold. I suggest you just tell him in advance what you will be doing and then just be calm and simply expect him to comply. Good Luck ! My miserable attempts in the past (mixing the pill in juice or apple sauce and shooting it into the mouth) always woke up my son and made him very angry. Even if that won't in the future, he is a tummy sleeper so there is a good chance that everything will come out of the mouth and end up on the sheets. Should I just bite the bullet and wake him up? Guest guest
You can purchase it anywhere that you can get 25 or 30 mg ala. Find the lowest dose you can so it's easier to divide up. Look for one that is natural with nothing odd added to it. We ended up using Kirkman because my son has to eat his, and some cheaper brands were irritating his mouth. It can be hard to find in lower doses too, but check your HFS. > Yes, but keep the lights dim and don't " fully " wake him up. > > They half wake up and you can get them to swallow things easier. > > Ours looks like he is fully awake and even takes the pills and glass of > water, but after he does he plops right down and is out cold. > > I suggest you just tell him in advance what you will be doing and then just > be calm and simply expect him to comply. > > Good Luck ! > > Neil > > _____ > > From: [mailto:Autism- Mercury ] > On Behalf Of soozsusan > Sent: Tuesday, January 02, 2007 11:48 PM > > Subject: [ ] what is the best way to give ALA at night? > > How does everyone handle the night dose of ALA?
