Guest guest
Perhaps you should consider oral DMSA. Some people chelate with ALA alone, but I assume there is a reason you chose DMSA (lead perhaps?). Although the td's worked for some few people, most people have found them to be less effective than hoped. If you are dosing ALA orally, it would be very simple to add the DMSA in at the same time, per Andy's protocol. Anita > > I was wondering if doing ALA alone is enough? Guest guest
You can use oral dmsa. ALA can be enough depending on what else was on the hair test. dmsa is helpful in speeding up the process though. Or if any other metals were elevated at all on his hair test. Usually mercury of any amount will cause some other toxic elements to be an issue, and this is where dmsa comes in. But you could chelate with AlA alone. I did read in Andy's book though that doing that can eventually cause a copper imbalance. > > I was wondering if doing ALA alone is enough? Guest guest
Depends on what you're trying to chelate. DMSA chelates mercury from the body and chelates lead. ALA chelates mercury from the body and brain and chelates arsenic. If you're dealing with lead consider using oral DMSA. You can order it without a prescription from www.vrp.com Use it according to Andy's protocol. S S doing ALA alone enough? I'm afraid that he is not getting the dmsa absorbed or he's getting just enough to cause the mercury to redistribute. The pharmacies don't seem to know what to tell me. Thanks. P.S. This son didn't show a lot of mercury in the French urine test (forgot the name) that we did. Thanks. _______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web! All four of my kids are fully chelated with ALA, I used no other official chelator. I am currently using it for myself. It worked very well for us.
