Guest guest
Hello All, Since there a many new faces here I wanted to again post about needing state contacts for the following states : Alabama Alaska Arizona Arkansas California Colorado Connecticut Delaware District of Columbia Hawaii Idaho Illinois Iowa Kansas Kentucky Maine land Massachusetts Minnesota Mississippi Missouri Montana Nevada New Hampshire New Jersey North Dakota Oregon Rhode Island South Carolina South Dakota Tennessee Utah Vermont Virginia Washington West Virginia Wyoming Other International Here is the low down on the State Contacts Program: State contacts are posted on the CAPPS website www.caps2000.org in a state by state directory. Usually State Contacts are e-mailed by families in need of emotional support....just knowing that there are others in your own state dealing with the same issues is usually a tremendous relief for many people. It is possible however, that you may be asked which doctors you have seen and for some direction as to where treatment can be found. If you are ever faced with a question that you cannot answer or if you don't know how to proceed with a person, you can forward them to me and I will either assist them or find someone who can. Additionally to this, I have all of the state contacts in an e-mail group and occasionally I send e-mails asking for some assistance with things that I am working on for the website. I also try to send an e- mail once a month to just check in. If you ever have a question or a problem I am always available to assist and the once a month e-mail is just a reminder of this. I also ask all of the state contacts to be a member of the CAPSORG e- group at CAPSORG This is so everyone can stay updated on what is going on and to also have everyone in a direct forum if needed. In the future, we hope that CAPPS will be large enough to support actual chapter meetings. When this happens, the State Contacts will have first choice if they would like to become chapter heads. This probably will not happen for some time, but this is the eventual goal that we have. That pretty much sums up what the State Contact program is all about. ) So, if you are interested, just send me an e-mail with your name, city/state and e-mail address and I will forward the information to be posted on the website......also, if you are interested and your state already has a contact, you can also be a state contact - the more the merrier! If you have any additional questions or need additional information, please contact me directly at angandjaya@.... Thank you very much, Jaya Dong Director of CAPPS Positional Plagiocephaly Division http://www.caps2000.org
