Guest guest
Hello! My 2 y.o. son is autistic and I am still breastfeeding him. I also have an amalgama filling, quite an old one. I cosider helating him with ALA only, but I wonder whether mercury from amalgama can pass to breast milk and be a source of contamination for my son? Guest guest
Yes it passes through breastmilk. So as long as he is nursing you cannot give him ala. You need to wait until three months after he is weaned to use ala. Also, vaccinating him is another source. So you either need avoid further vaccines, or wait until three months have passed since his last one. > > Hello! > My 2 y.o. son is autistic and I am still breastfeeding him. Guest guest
I chelated my NT son with oral DMPS/ALA when he was breastfeeding. I have five amalgams. We have consulted with Andy Cutler. Andy was aware of this and did not see a problem. Anyway, my NT breastfed for 5 years. He had a slight speech delay at age 3. The speech delay disappeared within 5 round of chelation. This was noticed by my ASD son's team of therapists as well. > > > > Hello! > > My 2 y.o. son is autistic and I am still breastfeeding him. I also > have > > an amalgama filling, quite an old one. We're not supposed to eat fish while chelating?
Guest guest
Mercury bioaccumulates in fish (and other organisms) so the higher up the food chain, the more you get because they get it from the fish they eat and it all adds up. Tuna, swordfish, tile fish and one other which I forget are definitely on the list of ones to avoid (whether chelating or not) as is anything caught in the Great Lakes. Seafood (crustaceans) are also reportedly high in mercury. Personally, I've been vegan for years. S S Ok, this may be a really silly question, but what about eating fish? I know that most fish are high in mercury and best avoided in any situation and all, but I was curious about the guideline for people who chelate AND eat fish...
