Guest guest
We really need to see the essential elements. Did/does he meet the counting rules? Have you identified and reduced/removed sources of exposure to antimony & arsenic? What biomed have you been doing? Looks like he's heading in the right direction. S S Hello, I got my son (4 y.o.) the second hair test result back after 1.5 years on BioMed intervention. To my surprise, most of them are in green zone now, except antimony and arsenic. Especialy, mercury was in red zone in the first test, now it is in green zone. Also the total toxic representation was almost reach the end of red zone, but now it is just in the beginning of yellow zone. During BioMed, we do get high mercury pull, even now I believe he is still dumping mercury. Just two weeks ago, UTM shows mercury still in middle of yellow zone. What does this really mean? Does this mean we are reaching the end of chelation? I'm waiting for French lab testing to see how it is. I will be really appreciated any comments. Thanks. Guest guest
, Thanks for your comments. Here is essential elements of second test and first test. We are doing mainly Dr. Amy Yasko protocol, invested $$$$ in it. I haven't learn the counting rule yet, even though I bought Andy's book. Appreciate any further comments. Thanks. Guest guest
Wenwei, Both of these tests meet the counting rules (4 or more in red). Both have Na/Mg very high - means producing a lot of adrenaline. Anything containing tyrosine or phenylalanine should be avoided. Both have K/Ca high - this could indicate a thyroid problem. Serum testing will tell you more. I don't think you can conclude anything about the difference in the toxics. Excretion of toxics in the hair varies. The hair tests (both) say you have a heavy metal problem. You need to chelate a lot to get rid of it. -- > > > > Hello, I got my son (4 y.o.) the second hair test > result back after > > 1.5 years on BioMed intervention. Guest guest
, Thanks for your comments. I got pophyrin test result back, it shows high elevated mercury as well. Regarding Na/Mg & K/Ca are very high, what protocol make you saying that? What to do for thyroid problem? Thanks. Guest guest
The information on the Na/Mg and K/Ca ratios comes from Andy Cutler's book: http://www.noamalgam.com/hairtestbook.html I think you also have an adrenal sign on both tests. This is the pattern with very elevated sodium and potassium (Na and K) and noticeably lower calcium and magnesium (Ca and Mg). This is also discussed in Andy's book. Adrenal cortex extract can help - it can reduce hyper behavior, irritability, etc. Lots of parents here have used this and can offer input. For thyroid, the hair test only suggests there is a problem, you need blood tests to verify exactly the nature of the problem (hypo or hyper, etc) and how to treat it. The tests needed are TSH, free T3, free T4, and thyroid antibodies. Very important to ask for those specific tests because most doctors do not test the frees. Other parents here have done thyroid testing and treated with thyroid hormones. They can advise you better than I can on the details of testing and what to do as far as treatment. You can also find more information by searching the archives. -- > > > > > > > > Hello, I got my son (4 y.o.) the second hair test > > > result back after > > > > 1.5 years on BioMed intervention. Guest guest
, Thanks very much again for your comments. I have the book, and only read the counting rules section so far! I'm surely need do my homework now. For Adrenal cortex extract, which brand would you recommend? (I'm always cautious about the quality of supplements.) Anyone has suggestion for me regarding thyroid testing? Is it done in standard lab for special lab? Thanks. Wenwei [ ] Re: Hair test result after 1.5 years on BioMed, what does this mean? Guest guest
Anne, This is the first pophyrin test for my son. I regreted I didn't do it (didn't know before) earlier. I will run it again in 6 months. It is a great test to tell how much load of mercury in my son's body. I'm chelating my son, and he is dumping mercury, aluminum etc... --Wenwei [ ] Re: Hair test result after 1.5 years on BioMed, what does this mean? Wenwei, Are you chelating your son? If so, at what point did you run the porphyrin test, i.e. how long after a chelation round? Thanks, Anne > > > > > > > > Hello, I got my son (4 y.o.) the second hair test > > > result back after > > > > 1.5 years on BioMed intervention. The stuff I mentioned about ratios comes from pages 111-114 and 253-254 (those two sections have a lot of overlap, but worth reading both). > For Adrenal cortex extract, which brand would you recommend? You don't want whole adrenal extract, which might cause more hyper. > Anyone has suggestion for me regarding thyroid testing? Is it done in standard lab for special lab? Regular labs used by MDs do this testing. Guest guest
, Thanks a lot. I spent some time last night to read the section. It makes a lot sense. I will get Adrenal cortex extract ASAP. Also next week, I will get TSH, Free T3, Free T4, and thyroid antibody testing done. If the testing result is abnormal (likely), what is typical treatment? My DAN is very supportive, but not sure he knows how to deal with thyroid issue. Thanks. Wenwei > > > > , > > > > Thanks very much again for your comments.
