You can find some documention there and also some successful appeals letters. Many of us have to go through the entire appeals process to get approved and many do not get approved even after all of that. We have several members with Cigna in this group - maybe if you can tell us where you're from someone from your area with Cigna can tell you what kind of luck they have had! Also, could you tell us what kind of device you will get? A locally made helmet or a band? We have people in this group who have had lots of experience with both! Also, I think you will hear from many who will tell you that they had a very similar experience. We told our ped at 4 month check that we thought something was wrong with 's head. He gave us the standard, " It will round out on its own " story and at her 7 month check it had not rounded out and our ped gave us a referral. The rest is history. She had a 3-D CT scan, was casted for the helmet and now is a very happy helmet wearer! She never once had trouble adjusting and now she considers it a part of her. She doesn't mind it one little bit!! She started wearing it at 9 months and she is almost 14 months now. (She is almost finished with treatment!) I hope this helps and please keep us posted!! We are still fighting Cigna on my daughters helmet. If you look through the files section at the egroups/ site there are some letters that have been approved by Cigna. Best of luck!!!
