Hi All-

I've not checked in for a while. My history was a diagnosis 10 years

ago. Optic neuritis/optic neuropathy attack 1 1/2 years ago with some

vision loss. In past two years increase in neuro symptoms.. eye pain,

balance issues, circulation, muscled jerking/twitching, brain fog.

IGENX positive western blot ( 2 bands ) fall 2006. Zhang herbs for

lyme 8 months did not help. So far no positive tests for auto-immune.

I started LDN (2.25mg) September 2007. Slowly improved, but still not

back to where I was prior to July 2007 before bad attack. I also

improved during winter last year, so not sure if it is LDN or winter

season. An amish herbalist/intuitive told me all my issues including

optic neuropathy stemmed from Yeast/Candida. I tried his diet/herbs

twice and so no improvement. I am working with my GP who is very open

minded and he agreed to do some detailed testing through great plains

lab (specializing in autism and immune issues). Well, my full acid

urine test does indicate a yeast/fungus issue! I just began an

intense yeast diet and ramping up on nystatin. I know there is a

wealth of info and individuals who have tried everything on this

board. Has anyone tested positive for yeast , and tried

nystating/diet changes? What was the outcome? Thoughts anyone? Here is

link to Dr. with yeast theory to autoimmune and author of several

books including Extraordinary Power to Heal.
