Guest guest
Hi all, We are on our second or third appeal with Tricare. I am not sure which one as I am not sure if they count our initial denial as number one or not. Anyway I have been told that for the step we are on we would have to fly out to colorado and state our case in front of a panel. We would have to pay for the trip, plane, hotel, food, etc. and not expect to be reimbursed for it. I am not sure if I should continue pursing getting Tricare to pay or not. I am fighting this pretty much all on my own as my husband is in Korea until the end of Oct. He will be home in June for a mid-tour. He has tried to help as much as he can from over there but honestly he hasn't been able to do much. I don't know if it is worth having to pay to go to colorado or not. If I go to colorado then I will have to do it on my own and I don't think I can do that. I don't know that it is worth it since they may not approve it the band and if they don't then we are out the money for the trip plus the money for the band. If we do win we may not get full coverage and we still wouldn't be getting much money back on the band. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have talked to my husband and we are almost leaning towards not pursuing it but still not completly sure.
